DOLAN SPRINGS, AZ - A 9-year-old girl accidentally shot and killed her shooting instructor Monday in northern Arizona.

According to the Mohave County Sheriff's Office, the 9-year-old was at Last Stop, an outdoor shooting range, in Dolan Springs Monday morning learning how to use an automatic Uzi.

The girl pulled the trigger and the recoil sent the gun over her head and the instructor was then shot in the head.

He was flown to University Medical Center in Las Vegas, but did not survive.

MCSO identified the victim as Charles Vacca, 39, of Lake Havasu City.

He was pronounced deceased at 8:56 p.m. Monday.An autopsy will be performed by the Clark County Medical Exmainer's Office in Nevada.

Dolan Springs is located about 36 miles northwest of Kingman, Ariz.
