Kremlin, on Trump Syria tweet, says 'We don't do Twitter diplomacy'

The Kremlin said on Wednesday it did not engage in "Twitter diplomacy" after U.S. President Donald Trump used the social media platform to warn Russia of imminent military action in Syria, the Interfax news agency reported.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov was quoted as saying that care should be taken not to aggravate the situation in Syria.

You want diplomacy? So do we. Have Putin and Assad in the White House Friday at 10 am to discuss the situation in Syria with President Trump. He has cleared his schedule. Please confirm.

No clear evidence yet of a chemical attack, insufficient for allies to agree to strike, insufficient for UN resolution, investigations underway, nothing really adding up so far, Bolivia has requested another UN meeting for a resolution that would delay any action by anyone until an investigation is complete. Never said when an attack on Syria would take place. Could be very soon or not so soon at all! In any event, the United States, under my Administration, has done a great job of ridding the region of ISIS. Where is our “Thank you America?”
