When “Fox News Sunday” host Christopher Wallace commented that unemployment is down to 3.9 percent and employment numbers have held steady, Trumka argued that while those numbers are positive, Trump is still falling short.

“Those are good, but wages have been down since the first of the year and gas prices have been up since the first of the year,” Trumka said. “So workers really aren’t doing that well.”
Wages are up since the first of the year, what is wrong with you? Not a lot, but some. Wages won't rise until the real unemployment rate drops. The reported rate is at near historic lows, but that doesn't include the discouraged workers, millions and millions of them, who are gradually getting encouraged and coming out to look for work. There are 2 factors in this wage growth, the actual rate per hour and the number of hours. You can't just look at the wage rate in our economy any more, you have to also look at the number of hours. People who have been on less than 30 hours, many of them 23 to 25 hours a week, are now getting many more hours, alot have full time hours plus over-time. They don't count that in the "wage growth" rate, but people have twice as much money because they have twice as many hours plus some over-time. People are also getting some benefits that are available to full-time workers and bonuses, none of which is counted in the "wage growth" rate.

Trumka is just another deceptive left-wing liar playing politics. But our workers know the truth. They know they've gotten small bumps in their wage rates, they know they've gotten many more hours, many full-time hours making them eligible for company benefits including paid vacation and the ability to sign up for company health insurance, 401 Ks, plus some over-time. On top of that many have gotten bonuses and will continue to have those opportunities.

And all have gotten tax cuts.

What this President has done for American Workers in such a short period of time across many fronts is incredible and for a big Union leader to deny that and lie to his own people and our country about it, is disgusting.
