Let's make it go viral: Video by engineer Jon Corbett reveals how TSA body scanners are completely useless

Thursday, March 08, 2012 by: Ethan A. Huff, staff writer

(NaturalNews) Since first posting his video analysis explaining how the U.S. Transportation Security Administration's (TSA) naked body scanners do nothing to prevent terrorists from smuggling weapons and other paraphernalia through security, engineer Jon Corbett's eye-opening revelation has quickly met the heavy hand of attempted censorship. During a recent interview with Alex Jones on the Alex Jones Show, Corbett explained how his video had already begun to go "viral" across the internet within just a few hours of its posting, upon which YouTube censored it as containing "inappropriate" content.

Corbett originally posted the YouTube video link on his blog TSA Out of Our Pants! on March 6, upon which it was quickly picked up by the U.K.'s Daily Mail, the U.K.'s Guardian, CNET, DailyTech, Russia Today, the Houston Chronicle, the New York Daily News, and hundreds of other news sources. But as was pointed out by Alex Jones during the recent interview, the original video, which was posted to YouTube, was also quickly censored in the process.

You can view Corbett's original posting here:

As you will notice upon clicking the direct YouTube link for the video rather than the "Play" button, a message pops up explaining that the video "may contain material flagged by YouTube's user community that may be inappropriate for some users." In order to actually watch it, in other words, an individual must log into his or her YouTube account, or sign up for account if he or she is not a registered user, an obstacle that detracts the vast majority of potential viewers from ever watching the video.

Corbett's video has since been uploaded elsewhere, including at NaturalNews.TV

(http://tv.naturalnews.comv.asp?v=917...2423DA212DC115), but the fact that the original was flagged speaks volumes about how badly those in authority wish to hide the truth about the TSA and its fraudulent security theater from the public. Even so, the truth is still getting out, and you can help keep it going viral by sharing this article and sharing the link to Corbett's video on NaturalNews.TV:

"I've been working through the court system for about the past year and a half," explained Corbett to Jones during his interview segment about a lawsuit he has already filed against the TSA for its illegal and unconstitutional naked body scan and pat-down procedures. "If the TSA standards are proven to be ineffective, that will be the quickest way to get them removed from our airports. The nude body scanner is nothing but a giant fraud."

Exposing the fraud that is the TSA's backscatter x-ray

TSA Tacitly Admits $1 Billion Dollar Body Scanner System Is Critically Flawed

Federal agency savaged for weak response to viral video

The Transportation Security Administration has tacitly admitted that the critical flaws brought to light in a viral You Tube video yesterday which exposed how airport body scanners could easily be beaten are accurate, rendering the entire $1 billion dollar program virtually worthless.

Engineer Jon Corbett of the popular blog TSA Out of Our Pants! posted a video yesterday that demonstrates how the TSAs radiation firing body scanners can easily be bypassed. The clip has already received over 700,000 views.

The video shows Corbett carrying a metal case through the scanner, away from his body in his side pocket. Corbett explains that because metallic objects appear as black on the image the scanners produce, the machines do not pick up such objects if they are obscured by the background, which is also black.

The video went viral and despite You Tube slapping an age-restricted censor on the clip, the story was picked up by dozens of major news outlets, forcing the TSA to respond.

On the TSAs official blog, the agency attempts to discredit Corbett by describing him as some guy who launched a crude attempt to allegedly show how to circumvent TSA screening procedures.

However, nowhere in the response does the TSA actually address or attempt to disprove Corbetts demonstration that the body scanner can be easily fooled.

In labeling Corbetts successful effort to evade the body scanner as crude, the TSA has inadvertently admitted that its $1 billion dollar body scanner system can be defeated by crude methods.

Body scanners are one layer of our 20 layers of security, the blog states, before adding, our nations aviation system is much safer now with the deployment of 600 imaging technology units at 140 airports.

Obviously, it is not safer if these 600 units can all be rendered useless merely by placing an object inside a pocket sown on to the side of a shirt.
