Los Angeles Facing 'Imminent Outbreak' of Bubonic Plague, Doctor Warns

Dr. Drew Pinsky issues disturbing warning over conditions on LA's rat-infested streets

© press Dr. Drew Pinsky warns that an outbreak of bubonic plague in Los Angeles is now 'imminent'

An outbreak of the Bubonic Plague is now "imminent" in Los Angeles, according to a warning by Dr. Drew Pinsky.

Dr. Drew warned Friday that the liberal California city faces a deadly outbreak of disease because of the growing homeless population and the failure of state and local authorities to deal with spiraling rodent and sanitation problems. https://neonnettle.com/tags/california

Pinsky describes the LA streets, which are covered in piles of rat-infested trash and human waste, and a breeding ground for deadly diseases similar to those that killed millions in medieval Europe.

Dr. Drew issued the warning during a Periscope broadcast by Dilbert cartoonist-turned-popular political pundit Scott Adams.

Dr. Drew told Adams that he predicted the recent typhus outbreak in Los Angeles, which was carried by rats, transferred by fleas to pets, and from pets to humans. https://neonnettle.com/news/5508-blu...spread-disease

Bubonic plague, like typhus, is endemic to the region and can spread from rodents to humans in a similar fashion, Dr. Drew said.

Dr. Drew warns that rat-infested streets are a breeding ground for disease

According to Breitbart, Bubonic Plague is commonly recognized as the medieval disease responsible for the Black Death in the fourteenth century. https://www.breitbart.com/health/201...n-los-angeles/

TRENDING: No Evidence for Man Made Climate Change New Finnish Study Finds https://neonnettle.com/news/8201--no...sh-study-finds

While the Black Death killed one-third of the population of Europe, the last outbreak of bubonic plague in the U.S. was nearly a century ago, from 1924 to 1925 — also in Los Angeles. https://www.cdc.gov/plague/maps/index.html

Only a “heroic effort” by doctors stopped it,

Dr. Drew recalled, warning that conditions were perfect for another outbreak of the plague in the near future.

Los Angeles is one of the only cities in the country,

Dr. Drew said, that has no rodent control plan.“

And if you look at the pictures of Los Angeles, you will see that the homeless encampments are surrounded by dumps.

"People defecate there, they throw their trash there, and the rats just proliferate there.”Moreover, he said, homeless people were defecating directly into city drains, which flowed to the Pacific Ocean.“

We have the sewage of 60,000 people hitting the ocean every day,” he said.

Though there were adequate financial resources, Dr. Drew said, homelessness would not be solved by building more housing because the fundamental problems were down to mental illness and drug addictions, which created an “attachment to this lifestyle” on the streets.

The city had been successful at absorbing hundreds of thousands of “undocumented immigrants,” Dr. Drew observed, which showed that the focus on housing was a “hoax.”

But changes in mental health policy — partly as a result of public reactions to films like One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, which was harshly critical of mental health institutions — had made it much more difficult to commit people to institutional care.

Dr. also said that prison reform initiatives, such as Proposition 47 of 2014– which reduced sentences but without improvements to rehabilitation — had also played a role by letting more criminals out on the street, some of whom joined the homeless population. https://www.breitbart.com/local/2018...d-for-failure/

© press Human waste and rat-infested slums have already caused an outbreak of typhus in liberal Los Angeles

And efforts at relocating the homeless — either to treatment or to prison — ran into lawsuits from the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), whom Dr. Drew described as “do-gooders” without any idea about how to solve the underlying problem.

“How many people must die before you change your philosophy?” Dr. Drew asked, rhetorically.

Some, Dr. Drew said, said that the situation in Los Angeles was approaching a national emergency that would require the intervention of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the Red Cross, and the National Guard.

He said that he himself had not reached that conclusion yet, but that he was “ready to pull that trigger if we start to see the diseases that I think we are going to.

”Recently, President Donald Trump threatened to intervene in California’s growing homelessness crisis, prompting L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti and Governor Gavin Newsom to push back — without offering any solutions.“ https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2...-homelessness/

I have a government that is ignoring the basic needs of human civilization,” Dr. Drew said, exasperated.

A recent count of the homeless population revealed that it had risen 12% over the last year, to nearly 60,000 people. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/...is/1336734001/

Mayor Eric Garcetti, who promised to end homelessness when he first ran for office in 2013, has failed to deal with the problem despite local tax hikes to provide additional revenues.

He now faces a recall effort over his failure. https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2...-homelessness/

"It's Total Anarchy": Shocking Videos Expose "Lawlessness" On NYC Streets

    Thanks, Mayor de Blasio...

    Tue, 07/23/2019 - 12:00
    11 SHARES

Mayor de Blasio should probably stop bragging about the fact that crime in his city has fallen to all-time lows.
In a series of shocking videos, NYPD officers can be seen being doused with buckets of water and pelted with projectiles as they tried to do their jobs (in one video, the officers were in the middle of making an arrest).
The stunning footage, which was first spotted online on Monday, shows the brazen young men in Harlem and Brooklyn dousing cops with water and, in one frame, an officer gets beaned in the back of the head with an empty red plastic bucket. The attacks on the officers started as they were arresting another young man, and in the video, they can be seen handcuffing the man while he was splayed out on the hood of a car.

Sources from within the NYPD and the officers union spoke with the New York Post about the "outrage" they felt toward both the criminals who carried out the attacks and the mayor, Bill de Blasio, who was out-of-state when the attacks occurred. Senior NYPD officials and union leaders have repeatedly criticized de Blasio for going easy on criminals and undoing some of the progress that happened under Mayors Bloomberg and Giuliani, where crime rates in the city began a dramatic slide (though, in recent years, crime rates have started ticking higher again).
"Everybody’s outraged," an NYPD source said. "It’s disgusting, embarrassing. There’s lawlessness around here now."
Police Chief Terence Monahan called the footage reprehensible and said every New Yorker must show respect for NYPD officers.

The videos of cops being doused with water and having objects hurled at them as they made an arrest in #Harlem is reprehensible. NYC’s cops & communities have made remarkable progress — together — but EVERY New Yorker MUST show respect for our cops. They deserve nothing less.
Another officer blamed the incidents on the NYPD’s "hands-off approach to these guys" that Mayor de Blasio first advocated.
"Who does that in their right frame of mind? People who believe there’s no consequences," the anonymous officer said. "It's total anarchy. This is very sad."
Patrolmen's Benevolent Association head Pat Lynch, a longtime NYPD labor leader, called the water bucket attacks "the end result of the torrent of bad policies and anti-police rhetoric that has been streaming out of City Hall and Albany for years now."

The PBA Twitter account tweeted one of the clips, and insisted that we are approaching "the point of no return."
Lynch added that politicians don't care about the dangers of being an NYPD officer.
"As police officers, we need to draw a line. In situations like this, we need to take action to protect ourselves and the public. The politicians may not care about the dangerous levels of chaos in our neighborhoods, but police officers and decent New Yorkers should not be forced to suffer."
But de Blasio didn't mention the videos on his Twitter.
The two videos were initially posted on separate Instagram accounts, but they first picked up traction after being shared by a Twitter account devoted to NYC emergencies.
Both videos were initially posted on separate Instagram accounts, then re-posted on a Twitter account devoted to New York City emergencies. Across all the platforms, the videos have racked up hundreds of thousands of views.

    Marco Rubio

The left is popularizing socialism and brainwashing young Americans: almost 50% would rather live in a socialist country. Socialism has not and will never work -- it brings poverty, chaos, and corruption. The fight for freedom against socialism is URGENT.
