Lieberman Loses Connecticut Primary Bid
http://www.phillyburbs.com/pb-dyn/news/ ... 95353.html
The Associated Press
HARTFORD, Conn. - Sen. Joe Lieberman, crippled by his support for the Iraq war, lost the Democratic nomination for a fourth term Tuesday to a political newcomer who portrayed him as an apologist for the Bush administration. Lieberman vowed to run as an independent in November.
His loss to Ned Lamont - just six years after his party made him its vice presidential candidate - made him only the fourth incumbent senator to lose a primary since 1980.

Maybe he could team up with Cynthia McKinney for a Presidential run.
It is funny that he's decided to totally humliate himself by running as an independent. The perks from being a Senator must be really good. It's like hell vomited and the Bush administration appeared.

ArticleIV, Joe Lieberman voted in favor of the massive comprehensive immigration reform bill. He supports the senate bill but unfortunately so does Lamont. Hopefully, the republican candidate won't.

Lieberman is the de facto GOP nominee.
I would curse the people who live in the Nutmeg State, but they already seem to be cursed.

Yes, glad to see it. Lieberman is a complete open Borders, amnesty sellout and has blocked enforcement.
Bet the illegal immigration issue played a part in this, but you sure won't hear the media say that. Cover it up with the war just like Bush does. Although maybe illegal immigration did not make big difference as it was race between two Democrats.
Good riddance to Lieberman.
