List of Florida fee hikes for motorists

Fees related to almost all aspects of driving in Florida increase today. All told, the increases are expected to bring in $800 million in new revenues for the state.

First-time driver's license: From $27 to $48

Driver's license renewal: $20 to $48

Late payment on renewals: $1 to $15

Replacing a lost license: $10 to $25

Driver's license reinstatement after a DUI: $47.50 to $60

Commercial driver's license: $67 to $75

License plates: $12 to $28.

Processing fees for specialty license plates: $2 to $5

Annual vehicle registration fees: 35 percent increase.

Highest rate: $32.50 to $44.

Welcome stranger tax, or registering a car for first time in Florida: $100 to $225

Registration decal: $1 to $3

"Reflectorization" fee to make sure decal is visible at night: 50 cents to $1.50.

Car title: $24 to $70

The cost of getting a driver's crash record: $2 to $10
