Two sites in London - London Bridge and Borough Market - are the scene of a terrorist attack on Saturday night

At least two people have been killed and others stabbed, police have said, following a confirmed terrorist attack at two sites in London - London Bridge and Borough Market.

Two separate eyewitnesses - one named Eric, another named Gerard - told the BBC that they saw men stabbing people on London Bridge and in Borough Market, and heard them shouting: "This is for Allah".

Police responded to a third incident in Vauxhall - where a man was arrested - but they later said that it is not connected.

The SAS has been deployed to central London.

A huge police presence is in the area, on the banks of the Thames.

How did it start?

At 10.08pm police responded to a call about a white van ramming into five or six people on London Bridge.
Paramedics were on the scene six minutes later, the London Ambulance Service said.

Eyewitnesses spoke of there being two or three masked men, who got out of the van and started attacking people with knives. An eyewitness, Eric, told the BBC that he heard shouts of "this is for Allah".

A second incident is believed to have taken place in Borough Market.

Eyewitnesses have told of seeing people being stabbed by someone wearing a red hoody. The attacker then walked calmly away, and gunshots were heard near the Brindisi tapas restaurant.e

Photos on social media showed a man in front of the Wheatsheaf pub in Borough Market, lying on the ground with what appeared to be canisters strapped to his abdomen.

The BBC reported that a security guard who works across multiple bars and pubs in Borough Market claims to have seen a man with a canister strapped to his abdomen. The security guard saw the attackers, after receiving a call from a colleague in another bar who said people had been stabbed.

The security guard described people running away screaming from three men, one wearing a red and black top. He claimed one man had a canister taped to his abdomen. The man and his colleagues tried to throw chairs at the three attackers, who were going in and out of different bars, before helping to evacuate the area.

An eyewitnesses said she saw police and two robots - she speculated that the robots could be there to disarm the canisters.

Drinkers inside various pubs and restaurants - Borough Market is home to dozens of eating and drinking establishments - have told of the police rushing in, and telling everyone to get on the ground. They were then told to run away from the area.

What do we know about the perpetrators?

Police are hunting for three men, Reuters reports.

One man has been arrested in Vauxhall, but the Vauxhall incident is not related.

Photos show one man on the ground in front of the Wheatsheaf pub, with what look like canisters strapped to his abdomen.

What do we know about victims?

Police say at least two people have been killed.

There are also reports of people being stabbed.

Walking wounded are being treated at the Andaz Hotel, near Liverpool Street.

The London Ambulance Service have confirmed that multiple crews are at both sites - London Bridge, and Borough Market.

Where is the prime minister?

Theresa May will chair a Cobra meeting about tonight's incidents first thing on Sunday morning.

She said: "Following updates from police and security officials, I can confirm that the terrible incident in London is being treated as a potential act of terrorism.

"This is a fast moving investigation. I want to express my huge gratitude to the police and emergency services who are on the scene. Our thoughts are with those who are caught up in these dreadful events."

It is understood that the Prime Minister was in her Maidenhead constituency when she was alerted to the news.

So-called Cobra meetings are named after Cabinet Office Briefing Room A, where crisis response meetings are held. They usually include the Prime Minister and senior cabinet ministers as well as intelligence and security officials.

Mrs May held two Cobra meetings in one day less than two weeks ago on the day of the Manchester bombing.

Did the police have any warning?

The BBC security correspondent, Frank Gardner, is reporting that the police were not aware of any specific threat.

He says that the attack is being handled by the police, rather than the intelligence services, which means that there was no real warning.

Britain's official terror threat had recently been lowered from "critical" after a bombing killed 22 people at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester.

But police were well aware that the bombing by Salman Abedi could spark another attack.

The UN should stop forcing "refugees" from muslim countries on other nations. If over half the world's muslim population gene pool is highly inbred then they have a whole bunch of mentally unstable, damaged brained people prone to violence. pakistan 70%, iraq 65% etc, somalians 2 out of 3 are mentally ill. No one cares about their religious beliefs but they are insisting on bloodshed & murder of innocents. It is very wrong to allow them freedom to slit our throats, blow us up, run us over with vehicles.

The civilized world needs to return them to their countries - deport not import. Let them kill each other as they have done for centuries - that is how they control their population with multiple wives and 24 children per man. 8 yrs of schooling in Denmark and many of the children still cannot read or write. Inbreeding results in lower IQs, schizophrenia, violence and we should not have to pay for them to continue to breed on our soil and put up with this terrorism. GET THEM OUT!

• British multiculturalists are feeding Islamic fundamentalism. Muslims do not need to become the majority in the UK; they just need gradually to Islamize the most important cities. The change is already taking place.
• British personalities keep opening the door to introducing Islamic sharia law. One of the leading British judges, Sir James Munby, said that Christianity no longer influences the courts and these must be multicultural, which means more Islamic. Rowan Williams, the former Archbishop of Canterbury, and Chief Justice Lord Phillips, also suggested that the English law should "incorporate" elements of sharia law.
• British universities are also advancing Islamic law. The academic guidelines, "External speakers in higher education institutions", provide that "orthodox religious groups" may separate men and women during events. At the Queen Mary University of London, women have had to use a separate entrance and were forced to sit in a room without being able to ask questions or raise their hands, just as in Riyadh or Tehran.

"London is more Islamic than many Muslim countries put together", according to Maulana Syed Raza Rizvi, one of the Islamic preachers who now lead "Londonistan", as the journalist Melanie Phillips has called the English capital. No, Rizvi is not a right-wing extremist. Wole Soyinka, a Nobel Laureate for Literature, was less generous; he called the UK "a cesspit for Islamists".
"Terrorists can not stand London multiculturalism", London's mayor Sadiq Khan said after the recent deadly terror attack at Westminster. The opposite is true: British multiculturalists are feeding Islamic fundamentalism. Above all, Londonistan, with its new 423 mosques, is built on the sad ruins of English Christianity.
The Hyatt United Church was bought by the Egyptian community to be converted to a mosque. St Peter's Church has been converted into the Madina Mosque. The Brick Lane Mosque was built on a former Methodist church. Not only buildings are converted, but also people. The number of converts to Islam has doubled; often they embrace radical Islam, as with Khalid Masood, the terrorist who struck Westminster.
The Daily Mail published photographs of a church and a mosque a few meters from each other in the heart of London. At the Church of San Giorgio, designed to accommodate 1,230 worshipers, only 12 people gathered to celebrate Mass. At the Church of Santa Maria, there were 20.
The nearby Brune Street Estate mosque has a different problem: overcrowding. Its small room and can contain only 100. On Friday, the faithful must pour into the street to pray. Given the current trends, Christianity in England is becoming a relic, while Islam will be the religion of the future.
In Birmingham, the second-largest British city, where many jihadists live and orchestrate their attacks, an Islamic minaret dominates the sky. There are petitions to allow British mosques to call the Islamic faithful to prayer on loudspeakers three times a day.
By 2020, estimates are that the number of Muslims attending prayers will reach at least 683,000, while the number of Christians attending weekly Mass will drop to 679,000. "The new cultural landscape of English cities has arrived; the homogenised, Christian landscape of state religion is in retreat", said Ceri Peach of Oxford University. While nearly half of British Muslims are under the age of 25, a quarter of Christians are over 65. "In another 20 years there are going to be more active Muslims than there are churchgoers," said Keith Porteous Wood, director of the National Secular Society.
Since 2001, 500 London churches of all denominations have been turned into private homes. During the same period, British mosques have been proliferating. Between 2012 and 2014, the proportion of Britons who identify themselves as Anglicans fell from 21% to 17%, a decrease of 1.7 million people, while, according to a survey conducted by the respected NatCen Social Research Institute, the number of Muslims has grown by almost a million. Churchgoers are declining at a rate that within a generation, their number will be three times lower than that of Muslims who go regularly to mosque on Friday.
Demographically, Britain has been acquiring an increasingly an Islamic face, in places such as Birmingham, Bradford, Derby, Dewsbury, Leeds, Leicester, Liverpool, Luton, Manchester, Sheffield, Waltham Forest and Tower Hamlets. In 2015, an analysis of the most common name in England showed it was Mohammed, including spelling variations such as Muhammad and Mohammad.
Most important cities have huge Muslim populations: Manchester (15.8%), Birmingham (21.8%) and Bradford (24.7%). In Birmingham, the police just dismantled a terrorist cell; there is also a greater probability that a child will be born into a Muslim family than into a Christian one. In Bradford and Leicester, half the children are Muslim. Muslims do not need to become the majority in the UK; they just need gradually to Islamize the most important cities. The change is already taking place. "Londonistan" is not a Muslim majority nightmare; it is a cultural, demographic and religious hybrid in which Christianity declines and Islam advances.

According to Innes Bowen, writing in The Spectator, only two of the 1,700 mosques in Britain today follow the modernist interpretation of Islam, compared with 56% in the United States. The Wahhabis control six percent of mosques in the UK, while the fundamentalist Deobandi control up to 45%. According to a survey from the Knowledge Center, a third of UK Muslims do not feel "part of British culture."

London is also full of sharia courts. There are officially 100. The advent of this parallel judicial system has been made possible thanks to the British Arbitration Act and the system of Alternative Dispute Resolution. These new courts are based on the rejection of the inviolability of human rights: the values ​​of freedom and equality that are the basis of English Common Law.

After the attack on the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, the head of MI6, Sir John Sawers, recommended self-censorship and "some restraint" in discussing Islam. The British ambassador in Saudi Arabia, Simon Collis, converted to Islam and completed the pilgrimage to Mecca, the hajj. He now calls himself Haji Collis.

Do they look like normal people or a product of inbreeding - let the truth be known! Two London attackers named by police

• They said Pakistan-born Khuram Butt, 27, of Barking, London, had been known to police and MI5 but there had not been any intelligence about an attack.
• The other attacker was Rachid Redouane, 30, from Barking, who police said had claimed to be Moroccan-Libyan.

The attackers were shot dead by police. All 12 people arrested after the attack have now been released without charge.

The seven women and five men were arrested in Barking on Sunday following the attack in which seven people were killed and 48 injured.

The attackers drove a hired van into pedestrians on London Bridge before stabbing people in the area around Borough Market.

A vigil was held at Potters Field Park near London Bridge on Monday evening to remember the victims.

NHS England said 36 people remained in hospital, with 18 in a critical condition.
