GRESHAM, Ore. - In a raid that could affect the drug supply nationwide, Multnomah County Sheriff's deputies busted a gang of suspected marijuana growers at a home near Troutdale, taking them by surprise.

KATU News had exclusive access to undercover deputies for weeks as they worked the case and then on Thursday, raided the home and took four men into custody.

Inside the home, deputies say the men had been cultivating their crop and running drugs across state lines.

The four men now face serious prison time and investigators believe they are just the beginning of a larger network of criminals.

"It's a cash crop, it is huge money," said Deputy Sean Christian with the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office
