This makes me sick! And its just getting worse!

This is the kind of crap that makes people afraid to go anywhere, and I just dont understand that everyone knows what that kids future is going to be but the cops wont take the kid away. I guess that their waiting for the kid to join a gang and rob or kill someone first. Tax dollars hard at working against us again.

And has the baby been taken away from those parents?

They are both admittedly involved in criminal activity and lead a lifestyle which is endangering that little boy.

IMO, the child welfare authorities need to be bombarded with emails and phone calls demanding that they do their job, just in case they are not protecting that child at this point.

Additionally, Hollywood Video needs to be informed that they have an active gang member employed by their corporation and asked how many more such criminals they employ. Being a company who filed for reorganization under Chapter 11. I would think they'd be a little bit more careful about whom they employ if they plan on keeping their customers.

Parents Fight Over Which Gang Toddler Should Join

Police: Mother A Crip, Father A Westside Baller

    POSTED: 7:10 pm MDT April 10, 2008
    UPDATED: 7:27 am MDT April 11, 2008

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. -- A couple fighting about which gang their 4-year-old toddler should join caused a public disturbance that resulted in the father's arrest, Commerce City police said Thursday.
On Saturday, Joseph Manzanares stormed into the Hollywood Video store where his girlfriend worked, threatened to kill her and knocked over several video displays and even a computer, Commerce City police Sgt. Joe Sandoval said.
After he ran out of the store, police were called and the 19-year-old was arrested at his home.

His girlfriend told police that they had been arguing about the upbringing of their son and which gang he should belong to. The teen mother, who is black, is a member of the Crips. Manzanares is Hispanic and belongs to the Westside Ballers gang, the woman said.
"They have different ideas on how the baby should be raised. Basically, she said they cannot agree on which gang the baby would 'claim,'" Sandoval said.
Manzanares was charged with disorderly conduct, harassment, and domestic violence. He was transported to the Adams County Detention Facility.
On Tuesday, he pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and was sentenced to a year of probation. The misdemeanor harassment charge was dropped.

one more reason gang membership should be a crime....
