Man Assaults Two Women Near Vienna Metro Station

Man Assaults Two Women near Vienna Metro Station

Police received calls this morning from two women reporting that a man had assaulted them. The first call came in to the Department of Public Safety Communications (DPSC) at 7:26 a.m. A woman, 39, reported she had been walking on the connector trail from Nottaway Park to the Metro station (near Vaden Drive and Kelly Square) when a man passed her on the trail then turned around and grabbed her shorts from behind. She screamed and ran, and the suspect fled in the opposite direction. The victim was not injured. At 7:32 a.m. a second woman, 32, called DPSC reporting that about 20 minutes previously she had been walking west bound on Country Creek Road just past Shawn Leigh Court near the Vienna Metro Station when a man came up behind her and groped her. She yelled at him, and he fled. She was not injured.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male about 20 years old and 150-160 pounds. He was about 5 feet 7 inches tall with a thin build and curly or wavy black hair. He wore a white T-shirt, black sneakers and either very baggy gray jeans or gray sweatpants.

Anyone with information about this incident or this suspect is asked to call Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477) or the police non-emergency number at 703-691-2131.
