Man charged with threatening congressman

TUCSON, Ariz. - Authorities say a Phoenix man has been charged with threatening to kill Arizona Democratic Rep. Raul Grijalva.

Federal prosecutors say 31-year-old Justin M. Haynes was indicted Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Tucson on one count of threatening to assault, kidnap or kill a federal employee or official.

Prosecutors say Haynes is accused of calling Grijalva's office in Tucson on April 23 and threatening to ``come down there and blow the brains out'' of Grijalva and his employees.

Haynes is scheduled to be arraigned June 24. Prosecutors say Haynes faces up to a 10-year federal prison sentence if he's convicted. It was unclear Friday whether Haynes has legal representation yet for his case.

I hate seeing stuff like this. That's uncalled for for any reason.

But I would like to know how many illegal aliens or their advocates are arrested for these same types of threats against reps not taking their side in this issue and the public never hears a damned word about it because it's all covered up?

have waited until after he carried it out? He could of pleaded insanity. There's another way to get rid of Griballess. Charge him with Treason. Look it up.

Insane I tell you! he should be prosecuted and remanded to the house for the criminally Insane for life! He threatened to blow out Grijalva's Brains??? He is Crazy! Not even Annie Oakley can hit that small of a target!

Sounds like Grijalva is a well respected and beloved Rep. out there...LOL!
