Broward County – A man from Jamaica was arrested by Florida’s Election Crime Unit after registering as a Democrat with a fake birth certificate.
57-year-old Alfred Samuels voted by mail in two Broward County elections even though he is not a US citizen.

Samuels, who entered the US in 1977 as a permanent resident, was hit with two felony counts as voting as an unqualified elector.
Samuels obtained his fake birth certificate in New York under the name Alfred Nelson.

More from WPLG Local 10:

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) over the summer announced 20 individuals across the Sunshine State had been charged with voter fraud.
20 people were arrested for voting illegally.
“The majority of these people illegally voted in Palm Beach, Broward and Miami Dade although there are others in other parts of the state,” Governor DeSantis said in August.
“These folks voted illegally… They are disqualified from voting because they have been convicted of either murder or sexual assault!” DeSantis said.
