Deakin vs. McCain and Hayworth
*(this article was submitted from a concerned citizen via email)*
by Ducalion Mawronahan
J.D. (John) Hayworth is off the radio airwaves and out in the blogosphere. His newest angle is playing the role of the victim, telling people that with a split vote in the Senate race, incumbent John McCain cannot be defeated. Well then, if J.D. Hayworth believes that, he should do the honorable thing and stay out of the race. He’s already been an elected representative in the US House of Representatives. What did Hayworth accomplish while representing the people of Arizona? Not much, besides lining his pockets.
Jim Deakin is an everyday average American citizen, husband, father, business owner, and the only true Constitutional Conservative candidate in the race for the US Senate seat currently occupied by John McCain, who has been a part of the Washington political machine for close to 30 years.
Jim Deakin has been working toward this race for over a year and has earned the support and trust of thousands of Arizonans around the state. He has obtained the requisite signatures to be included on the August 24, 2010 primary ballot. Jim did not have a radio show in prime drive time for the past 3 years; He hasn’t previously been a member of the Washington political machine; He hasn’t been tied to, or taken thousands of dollars and untold perks from notorious Washington lobbyists; He wasn’t named on any lists of the country’s most corrupt politicians, and he never will be. J.D. Hayworth can’t honestly make these same statements. Hayworth was neck-deep in the Jack Abramhoff scandal. Hayworth was the biggest recipient of money and gifts from Abramhoff; and his partners; Hayworth paid his own wife thousands of dollars, donated by constituents to his TEAM PAC political action committee; in 2006, Hayworth was listed in the Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington list of the most corrupt politicians. J.D. Hayworth was in Washington for 13 years in the US House of Representatives and has shown his propensity for taking full advantage of the power and influence of such a position. Do we really want to continue this pattern?
If J.D. Hayworth were such a great candidate, not only would he be confident about his ability to defeat John McCain, he would be confident about that ability regardless of whether Jim Deakin were in the race or not. In fact, if J.D. Hayworth were such a great candidate; If he had the integrity and moral fortitude the American Person needs so badly in their elected officials, he wouldn’t have become embroiled in the Abramhoff, and other scandals; He wouldn’t have disintegrated the trust of the voters of Arizona, and he wouldn’t have lost his House seat to Democrat Harry Mitchell in the first place.
As well as Hayworth’s apparent integrity issues, his voting record should be remembered by the people of Arizona too. While in the US House, he voted with John McCain to increase the National Debt Limit on many occasions. He voted with Bush and McCain in support of the failed No Child Left Behind Act and the USA Patriot Act. He voted with John McCain to increase the size of government so often that to go through the instances here would make this piece more like a novel. His is not the voting record of a Constitutional Conservative. That voting record can be reviewed here: http://thomas.loc.gov
If J.D. Hayworth is truly worried about the state of this Nation and the massive size and scope of our governmental leviathan, then he should not get into this race. He has already proven to the people of Arizona that his commitment to Constitutional Conservatism can be tainted and swayed, if the price is right.
Jim Deakin is the 912Candidate.org, and TEA Party candidate. Jim Deakin has a strategy to defeat incumbent John McCain. It is a strategy that comes naturally to Mr. Deakin. That strategy is to support and defend the Constitution of The United States, and to support and promote the ideology of Constitutional Conservatism in government, regardless of who is in the race, and without taking any money from George Soros or Jack Abramoff.

From Deakin website:
"The tax code is so complicated that even the Secretary of the Treasury and the Chairman of the committee tasked with writing and approving tax laws do not understand and cannot follow the laws. Simplification of the tax laws must be a priority. One example is the Fair tax and repeal of the 16th amendment to the Constitution. Other options are possible, the goal is to simplify the taxing process and empower states by giving control of cash flow to State Government."

Jim Deakin is polling at less than 3%. He has ZERO chance of defeating John McCain, but Jim Deakin has a fair chance at costing JD Hayworth enough votes to allow McCain to slip back into office to wreck America for the next six years.
Jim Deakin needs to do the right thing and the brave thing, the same thing thing that Chris Simcox did today by bowing out of the race and endorsing JD Hayworth.

The Neverending Story
Because Jim Deakin is an unknown, he should just toss it in and support Hayworth? It sure is fortunate for us that the revolutionaries of the Founding Fathers' day didn't have that defeatist mentality. A continuation of the reign of the political elite is what will result, and that is exactly what the American Person is demanding an end to. What is this supposed revolution about anyway? If we, as voters, just continue to support the most popular guy at the dance, we are going to continue along the same path to tyranny.
Concerned voters should look at Jim Deakin, read what he stands for, go speak with him at one of his endless campaign stops. Learn about his ideology and values. Decide for yourselves if he deserves your trust and your vote. Once that determination has been made, call the local news stations and other media outlets. Demand that they give their viewers/readers the entire picture as to what choices are available. Jim Deakin is officially on the ballot. He has done the footwork, gathered the requisite signatures and has thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of supporters.
The way it is now, it's seemingly impossible for an unknown, average Joe to get any exposure in the media. If we don't get the 'celebrity persona' out of our political process, we're never going to get back on track. The advice from the previous post in this thread is indicative of the 'lesser of two evils' mentality. WAKE UP PEOPLE, the time is now!!

Out of the 30,000+ supporters we emailed our release to today and the tens of thousands we contacted on Twitter and Facebook, this message from you is THE ONLY feedback in support of Jim Deakin we have received.
Is this you Mr. Deakin? If so, please don't help John McCain by staying in the race.

Goodness, how many times have we seen a third candidate take away votes from the popular newcomer? One example I can think of was H. Ross Perot giving Clinton the presidency.

DeceptiCons rejoice...
Hayworth is as corrupt a politician as there is, now that Murtha is gone. He was the Congressman who received the most money and perks from Jack Abramhoff. He supported the Patriot Act, he has voted numerous times for issues that deteriorate States rights and sovereignty. He may have a positive rating on immigration issues, but his willingness to stray from the constraints of the Constitution is just as important a factor to be considered. The information in the article above, which started this thread, is not fabrication. Apparently as far as this organization's leadership is concerned, our elected representatives can disregard the ideas and ideals of the Founders regarding foreign affairs and other select issues, but we need to hold true to some of their ideas and ideals when it comes to domestic affairs. I, and millions of others who proudly identify as the American Person do not agree. I suggest that if media outlets, such as this, would put some effort toward searching out true Constitutional Conservatives and bringing them to the attention of the public, the 'poll' results would turn out differently.
Hayworth is not a Constitutional Conservative. Jim Deakin professes to be for Constitutional Conservatism, Limited Government, States Rights and sovereignty, and getting common sense back in to the mindset regarding our ridiculous immigration and other policies. Prove him wrong, or prove to yourself that he's not worthy of your trust before settling for someone who has let his constituents down once already.
And, by the way, I am not Jim Deakin, and I will gladly prove that, if you insist.

My reference...
With all respect sir, this organization is the one to which I refer. I draw that conclusion as a result if its official endorsement of Mr. Hayworth, who, as is evidenced by his voting record during his 12 years in Congress, is not a true Constitutional Conservative. which makes him a "DeceptiCon".
