The National Organization for Women (NOW) has caused controversy by putting Little Sisters of the Poor on their “Dirty 100” list.

The list names groups that have opposed the ObamaCare birth control mandate.
Patricia Ireland, former president of NOW, was on “The Kelly File” to discuss the list.

Why Can't the Little Sisters of the Poor Get an ObamaCare Exemption?

“They operate homes in 31 countries where they provide care for over 13,000 needy, elderly persons, many of whom are dying,” Kelly said of Little Sisters of the Poor. “Dirty? Dirty? You stand by that?”
“First of all, it’s a take-off on the ‘Dirty Dozen.’ Maybe we should have called it the ‘Dirty Eight-Dozen Plus Four,’” Ireland said.
“Maybe you should have called it ‘Groups With Whom We Disagree,’” Kelly countered.

Ireland said the group is trying to impose religious beliefs on employees. If the group doesn’t want to provide contraception, it can file a form with the government and opt out. But Kelly pointed out that if Little Sisters of the Poor signs that form, it allows the coverage to be provided by another group, which the nuns see as an endorsement of contraception.
