Mothers having C-Sections are Dying

An increasing number of mothers who gave birth by c sections are dying after the surgies and this is an alarming but increasing trend. The rise in mothers asking for c-sections is on the rise and so are the resulting deaths. Surgically removing a baby from a womb is not natural and not without consequences including death.

In fact in California the mortality rate of mothers who die from giving birth is on the increase by triple the numbers in the last 10 years and the numbers are greater than every before. It doesn’t have much to do with obesity in expectant mothers and medical complications of blood clots seems to be the reason.

The CDC’s has barely responded to the rise in mortality rates in C-Section deaths of mothers saying it must be the way they are counting the deaths. If this is not just one example of the lack of caring at the national level at the CDC. The problem seems to be related to blood clots and no one has tested whether the drugs used during a c-section are causing the blood clots.

Some hospitals are aware of this problem and are using a special leg wrap to prevent clotting in the legs which is a problem. Also mothers who are not encouraged to walk after giving birth to give the blood a chance to normalize but still there is no excuse for the lack of interest in these rising deaths of women.

Certainly the anti-abortion right wing groups should be questioning why women are dying giving birth, and why there is an increase in miscarriages after the H1N1 Swine Flu shot given and targeted to pregnant women.

The Childbirth Connection group are calling for priority to be given by the US government and new federal investigating the number of c-sections being performed. C_Sections are an epidemic with more women choosing c-sections so they can predict the day of birth of their baby. In some cases c-sections are necessary but by and large they are becoming the norm as opposed to natural child birth.

There is no excuse for this and the experts had better start investigating c section deaths including any drugs that are used while the mother is birthing. This just is another example of the lack of competence at the CDC, they are just not into you.

Two reasons: docs are terrified of a lawsuit if the birth outcome isn't good, and
also a Cesarean is much more profitable for the doc and the hospital. Homebirths are on the rise among well educated folks who view childbirth not as an illness but a natural phase of life.
