McCain: Cut up and send back AARP cards

PHOENIX - Seniors living in Arizona should cut up their AARP cards and send them back - at least according to Senator John McCain.

McCain says AARP is not acting in the best interests of senior citizens.

"In previous years whenever there were any reductions proposed in medicare the AARP has not only opposed it, but done so in the strongest terms," he said. "Now they're going to cut half a trillion dollars and AARP favors it."

McCain also says the AARP has not created a single job despite receiving nearly $20 million in stimulus funds.

There's no question AARP needs a lesson they'll never forget. They have betrayed their members. They are doing the complete opposite of what they mission charter dictates. Their board has sold its soul to the incestuous insurance side of the business that will make billions selling high priced MediCare Advantage type supplemental insurance policies that cost more and provide less benefits.

I have never liked their politics and have never joined their organization.
