Americans need to completely stop watching TV and movies. They have been brainwashing the public for decades.

They have done serious harm to our society as a whole.

Seriously, you will be so much better off.

These actors actually believe they should be telling everyone how to behave, believe, and vote???

Think about what an actor actually is -- An actor is someone who makes a living playacting. They make a living speaking other people's words and playing make believe.

They should be totally irrelevant -

That still doesn't add up. Those envelopes have to be labeled clearly on the outside. The envelopes are the focus of the whole event. Everything revolves around the system of revealing the unknown content of those envelopes. Nobody is supposed to know beforehand what the contents of the envelope are, but everyone has to know what category the envelope represents to prevent exactly these kinds of problems. The category for the envelope has to be clearly marked on the outside. These people can act, but nobody can act that well. The system of secrecy and distribution of the results has to work and the problem is simple enough that it most certainly does work.

I don't watch broadcast television, I don't get cable and I didn't care anything else about the Oscars. But it looks to me like the whole thing was hijacked in broad daylight. It is entirely in character that the gay mafia would pull off something like this to promote this gay movie, "Moonlight".
