My Wife Didn’t Immigrate to America for This

    By Claude Sandroff
    Monday, November 2, 2009

A French-born and French-educated PhD engineer, my wife first came to the United States for post-doctoral study, then married an American and then become a US citizen. Her idealization of America began when her vacationing parents sent her a post card from New York City in 1969. The image of Manhattan’s skyline from the Brooklyn Bridge coupled with that summer’s images from the Apollo moon landing cemented her future. She was going to be part of America’s exceptionalism when she grew up.

Just twenty-one years after her arrival she suddenly finds her adopted country almost unrecognizable. She often remarks that she didn’t immigrate (legally) to the US so that it would come to imitate France. If she wanted to live in a country that embraced socialism, accepted persistently high unemployment, encouraged nationalization of major industries, supported dictatorial labor unions and promoted countless communist government insiders, she could have stayed put.

But in case things continue to deteriorate she insists that we make contingency plans. She once left the country of her birth and she could leave the country she adopted if its prospects diminish. Maybe Australia, Canada or even New Zealand offers better opportunities than America. Australia turned Left in their last elections, though only moderately so, while both Canada and even New Zealand seem to have solid right-of-center governments. All three have stronger currencies than ours. And New Zealand of all places, rates according to the World Bank, as one of the easiest countries in the world to do business in.

My wife has lived through two Bushes and a Clinton but only under Obama has America’s atmosphere become so poisonous and its future so heavy with gloom and fear that serious discussions about packing it all in could emerge. This is what Obama’s election has wrought. I doubt if we’re the only relatively mobile couple to have had this discussion, one unimaginable in any other era.

Many people that become citizens the right way are angry.

God bless this couple. My family emigrated from a Communist country and grow ever fearful of obama's tactics as they can identify them very easily as those employed in the country of their birth.

    This statement sums it up.

California has birthed the four horsemen of the apocalypse: high taxes, over-regulation, suicidal environmentalism and unfettered illegal immigration

No use going to Canada since they will probably fall under the same union as the whole North American continent. New Zealand might be a good spot. Austrailia may be tougher to get into. They are dealing with the Muslims too. But how do you leave when you have other loved ones still here?

unitedasone, you are not alone in wanting to find a safer and perhaps a freedom loving place to live as I've pondered this question as well. And I'm sure many others are looking at this too. It's natural to want to go to higher ground when a flood is coming.

However, I don't know if there are any safe places left in our country and/or the world anymore. So perhaps we need to support states in our country that are willing to nullify obama's unconstituitional legislation and oppose amnesty.

Do you and/or anyone on the post know of any states that are willing and able to defend our constituion?

A growing number of states rebelling against the Federal Government
    Written by Michael Webster

    February 17, 2009
By Michael Webster: Syndicated Investigative Reporter

According to guests on the popular late night Coast To Coast radio talk show told several million listeners last night that the Tenth Amendment is part of the Bill of Rights and was ratified on December 15, 1791. It states the Constitution's principle of Federalism by providing that powers not granted to the national government nor prohibited to the states are reserved to the states and to the people.
It is based on an earlier provision of the Articles of Confederation: "Each state retains its sovereignty, freedom, and independence, and every power, jurisdiction, and right, which is not by this Confederation expressly delegated to the United States, in Congress assembled."

This map shows a growing number of states that have passed and propose resolutions to assert the Tenth Amend ment and the Bill of Rights of the Constitution.

Alex Jones and Jerome Corsi discussed steps many states are taking to preserve sovereignty. Jones provided lots of important information about how President Obama is just a puppet for the illuminati and how America has been sold out to feign banks.

The Illuminati has become synonymous with the one world government conspiracy. Jones and Corsi tie the Illuminati into the current recession/depression and claim that the whole thing is engineered by the Illuminati. They even claim that the Mexican drug cartels are also connected to the illuminati but did not go on to explain how.

Apparently the Illuminati through the onshore and offshore bankers have the grand plan which started in 1913 when the Federal Reserve Bank first come on to the seen and took control of America's money, Congress and ultimately the executive branch of the U.S. Government. Both guests claimed that=2 0the U.S. Federal Government is attempting to take over and control the states by having heavy handed strings attached to the Federal money given to the states. The guest state legislators also interviewed on the program said the money in question was the same money that the states send to the feds in the first place, than the feds say if the states don't cooperate with what the feds want they withhold that money.

That money is the tax payers money and the federal government should not be allowed to do that. That is one reason that the states are fighting back the state representatives said. Host George Noory of the Coast to Coast program directed stunned listeners to the Coast to Coast web site where he said there are links to Mr. Jones resource page.

According to Jones he has documents that prove his contentions and says you will find links to the various bills and proposed bills by the states, articles covering this important topic, and related videos. See below links. Later on during the time listeners call in, many seemed to agree that the Illuminati is the root cause of the financial ruin of our nation, others pointed out that the guests where just alarmist. Callers also wanted to know what they could do and how they could fight and try to help save America short of armed rebellion? J

ones indicated "it is a matter of education and that Americans need to research this important matter for themselves and find out what is really going on." Just what Americans can do to stop this was not clear. Short of a full out revolution there may not be much else Americans can do. Washington, New Hampshire, Arizona, Montana, Michigan, Missouri, Oklahoma, California, and Georgia have all introduced bills and resolutions declaring sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment. Colorado, Hawaii, Pennsylvania, Arkansas, Idaho, Indiana, Alaska, Kansas, Alabama, Nevada, Maine, and Illinois are considering such measures.

It's only going to get worse under his administration!

If Obama really wants to understand what that country once represented for her, he should give her or any other proud legal immigrant a call.
Yea well...Obama has been too busy talking to the illegal invaders and their advocates to give a damn what Americans think! Don't wait for the phone to ring!

All legal immigrants I know feel the same way, they came here for freedom and limited government, a chance to use their God given talents to make the best of themselves, and not for Socialism or "spreading the wealth" or "affirmative action".

If the Republicans weren't so brain dead they could take advantage of this.
