Lou Dobbs Tonight
Friday, June 13, 2008

Tonight, the number of people sickened by salmonella tainted
tomatoes has jumped to 228 in 23 states. The bumbling FDA is
still trying to locate the source of the contaminated tomatoes.
We’ll have that story, and all the day’s news from around the
nation. Plus:

* Amnesty and open-borders advocates have repeatedly compared
U.S. immigration and law enforcement officials to Nazi
Germany’s Gestapo. Among those to make that claim: a
Congressman from California, an immigrants rights activist, and
now an attorney for an agribusiness shut down because of the
death of a teenage illegal alien who died while working under
inhumane conditions for the company.

* The Congressional Hispanic Caucus is warning Sen. Barack
Obama that if he does not take a stance in favor of amnesty for
millions of illegal aliens living in this country, he is in
jeopardy of losing the critical Latino vote. Meanwhile, Sen.
Bob Menendez has condemned efforts made by the federal
government to enforce this country’s immigration laws.

* If outrageous airfares and travel hassles don’t keep you from
flying this summer, maybe this will: Many airlines are
outsourcing key aircraft maintenance to foreign countries with
lax inspection rules and zero FAA oversight. Two senators have
introduced legislation to curtail this dangerous practice.

* The New York Attorney General is expected to release findings
from a huge undercover investigation into pharmacies throughout
New York selling drugs and other products that had expired more
than two years earlier.

* And in our weekly tribute to the men and women who serve our
nation in uniform, we’ll have the story of Staff Sgt Robert
Henline. Henline was the sole survivor of an IED attack in
Iraq. More than a year later, he is still covered in bandages
from the severe burns he suffered. He has struggled against
traumatic brain injury. Please join us for his remarkable story
of courage and survival.
