WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- A Winston-Salem man is facing several sex charges involving children.

Winston-Salem police said Luis Daniel Guzman, 38, was arrested last week following a lengthy investigation.

During the course of the investigation, police said officers interviewed both of the victims. No details about the victims were released.

Police said the investigation started in March 2009.

Guzman was charged with eight counts of first-degree rape and two counts of first-degree sex offense with a child.

He is being held in the Forsyth County Jail on a $200,000 bond.

Winston-Salem man charged with sex crimes

A Winston-Salem man is facing 10 sex-related charges following a two-year investigation, police said Tuesday.

Luis Daniel Guzman, 38, of 4493 Ogburn Ave., is charged with eight counts of first-degree rape and two counts of first-degree sexual offense with a child.

The investigation began when an accusation of sexual assault was made against Guzman in March 2009, police said.

Police interviewed two juveniles during the course of the investigation. Guzman was arrested last week.

Guzman is being held at the Forsyth County jail under a $200,000.
