Girl Said Eliceo Bautista Hurt Her 'Real Bad'

REIDSVILLE, N.C. -- Police in Rockingham County arrested a man and charged him with the April rape of a 7-year-old girl.

Eliceo Carbajal Bautista, 30, of Reidsville, was charged with three counts of first-degree rape of a child.

Police said the victim was 7 years old at the time of the assaults last month and had reported to a trusted adult that Bautista had hurt her "real bad" and that she was afraid of him.

Bautista's bond was set at $1.5 million and a court date was set for May 26.

He is being held in the Rockingham County Jail.

The victim has since received appropriate action, police said.

A Reidsville man is in jail facing first-degree rape charges.

Eliceo Carbajal Bautista, 30, of 120 N. Fork Drive in Reidsville, is charged with three counts of first-degree rape of a child. Bautista’s bond was set at $1,500,000 and he is scheduled to appear in court on May 26.

According to a news release from the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office, the victim was 7 years old at the time of the assaults and had reported to a trusted adult that Bautista had hurt her “real badâ€

$1.5 million sounds like an illegal alien flight risk.

We need a volunteer to call this jail facility and ask for the the jail information officer to inquire if there is an Immigration Hold on this prisoner.

William, I called, spoke to an officer, then a Sgt. They WILL NOT TELL this information. As a taxpayer AND a legal resident of this county I should have the right to know this information. I was told to call back Monday and talk to the Captain.

Anyone else who would like to pester the Rockingham County Jail personnel for what should be public information, here's the number:
