At least one Republican congressional candidate (North Carolina), challenging a Democratic incumbent, thinks the president should be impeached over immigration. This adds to the steam to impeachment, from the revelations of the forged document linking Saddam Hussein to 9/11.

If there was no WMD and no Saddam link to 9/11, why are over 4100 troops dead? Not to mention those wounded or maimed, or who'll never be right again, even if they are physically unmarked? Suskind may be right or he may be wrong, but is the congress going to just go on vacation without getting to the bottom of this? They should cancel summer recess right now and do their duty.

Please call your congressman, and the Republican members of the House Judiciary Committee, and demand they cancel summer recess to deal with the Suskind allegations, and to start impeachment hearings over this and illegal immigration. They are counting on the party conventions to keep us distracted once they return, but we won't be thrown off the trail that easily. No fiddling while Rome burns.

Mumpower Would Support Bush Impeachment

The President's failure to enforce illegal immigration has at least one Republican candidate for Congress talking impeachment. The winner of the recent Republican primary in the 11th District of North Carolina, Carl Mumpower, offered this observation in reaction to the announcement of intentions to pull the National Guard from the border. "One need look no further than the title of these troops to understand their intended purpose," said Mumpower. "The President has persistently failed his oath of office by ignoring the rule of law prescribed in the Constitution." "It makes no difference that the President is from my own party - he should be held accountable for his failure to protect America's sovereignty."

"Were the President serious, he would be strengthening ICE, the National Guard, and local enforcement powers instead of soft-pedaling to avoid offending the Mexican government, business interests, and Hispanic voters," noted Mumpower. "We have border agents working in the field with one hand tied behind their backs and others resting in jail courtesy of a paralyzed judicial system." "If Bush had a courage button he would be diligently going after the businesses that fund the mass migration by illegally employing aliens. The rush could have been reversed long ago with fines and accountability for these law breakers."

Mumpower did not reserve his criticism for the President. "We also have a cowardly Congress that is equally accountable for cutting the heart out of America's middle class," said Mumpower. "Drugs, burdens on our health care and social service system, and criminals are also coming through our porous borders." "With a persisting substitution of motion for action, our leaders have dodged their responsibilities to secure our borders, and future generations are going to suffer the consequences of their neglect."
