It appears as though the Congress and all involved at that level have been told to spend as you like.
The debt will NEITHER be addressed nor paid.
Instead, they have been planning to replace the global financial system (see FedNOW):
https://www.federalreserve.gov/payme...dnow_about.htm
https://www.frbservices.org/financia...now/about.html
This new system is based on very tight control using digital monies and tokens where ALL global assets will be tokenized.
These tokenized assets will be setup to fall into their Control as people default on their strict guidelines, making it so that the Controllers "Own it All."
"You will own nothing and be happy," Klaus Schwab's statement refers to this future planned reality.
They have been building this NEW financial platform in the background and when it is ready to rollout, then they will create a "polycrisis" to do so. They have already announced the "polycrisis" technique as their next mechanism to reign in more control.Last edited by GaiaGoddess; 01-02-2025 at 07:45 PM.

A gov. issued digital currency is akin to the Mark of the Beast in Revelations
If there ever was a notoriously evil tool to enslave a nation's population, that tool would in fact be a digital currency. To understand the threat, see: China’s Digital Yuan: A Threat to Freedom
Forewarned is forearmed.

When violent hate America demonstrations occur in the U.S. (as they now are) and terrorist attacks begin on American soil, also now occurring, let us not forget it was the current Democrat Party Leadership who encouraged and invited millions upon millions of poverty-stricken, poorly educated, low-skilled, diseased, disabled, criminal, un-vetted terrorist and religious fanatic foreign nationals, into our country.

U.S. Representative Zach Nunn resurrects fraudulent balanced budget amendment
.
See: Nunn Introduces Balanced Budget Amendment
With all the talk about DOGE looking to deal with reckless spending, Rep. Zach Nunn has decided to jump on the bandwagon and introduced a so-called balanced budget amendment that has been around for years. The only problem with Zach's amendment is, it does not compel Congress to balance the annual budget but would actually make it constitutional for Congress to add to the national debt year after year as is now the case.
Currently, the only proposed balanced budget amendment which would effectively end Congress adding to the national debt year after year, after year is, the "Fair Share Balanced Budget Amendment" which is our Founder's remedy to deal with a deficit created by Congress's borrowing.
And I still cannot find the DOGE team having given their support to creating any structural mechanism which would effectively end Congress adding to our national debt year after year and thus addressing the root cause which has brought us to our current national debt of $222 TRILLION, including unfunded debt liabilities.

They are still on vacation for Christmas and New Year's, but this next week we "should" see more activity

There are other key platform updates that they have NOT performed:
Notes [in the 12/27 post update]:
- As of 1/4/2025, Bills that have become Law are only displaying up to 12/23/2024 so this group of 50 have not yet been posted since they were signed on 12/24/2024.
- Still searching for the complete list, but here [in the 12/27 Post update] are a few more Bills Biden signed into Law on Christmas Eve.

Rep. Tom Massie correctly calls Balanced Budget Amendment a fraud
GaiaGoddess,
I have been following Congress’s reckless spending and borrowing since the 1980s and vividly remember in the 90's when Newt Gingrich was Speaker of the House who is currently a popular guest on Fox News and a so-called "conservative", proposed a number of balance budget amendments, not one of which actually and effectively would prevent Congress from adding to our national debt year after year.
Every one of these BBAs allowed Congress to continue to add to our national debt, and even made it constitutional, for Congress to not balance the annual budget. The only member of Congress that I know who actually has spoken out and informed the public about the proposed balanced budget amendments being fraudulent is U.S. Representative Thomas Massie:
.
.
I recently took the liberty to email Massie and provided a LINK to a thread in this forum where I provide our Founder’s remedy [the Fair Share Balanced Budget Amendment] to deal with any deficiency funded by Congress’s borrowing. I don’t know if he will ever get it because the only email I could find is “press@thomasmassie.com”
In any event, if Congress is not stopped from adding to our national debt, which is now well past $222 TRILLION including unfunded debt liabilities, we most certainly will go the way of Rome when the Senate fiddled while it burned.

AMERICANS FOR PROSPERITY tout a balanced budget amendment but . . .
Here is a recent and interesting article regarding the subject at hand:
Why don’t we balance the national budget? What would it look like?
Dec 26, 2024
"While American families must balance their budgets, Congress does not.
That’s why the United States government is over $36 trillion in debt — and growing.
The cost to taxpayers?
Approximately $107,000 per person.
So, how can we get out of this economic mess?"
What interests me about the AFP article is, the Fair Share Balanced Budget Amendment, which has been around for over thirty years, meets their criteria, and yet, to the best of my knowledge, they have never mentioned it.
In regard to the criteria for a BBA mentioned in the AFP article, the Fair Share Balanced Budget Amendment meets that criterion: it puts no limit on the amount of revenue Congress may raise or spend during the course of a fiscal year, nor prevents Congress from spending how it chooses. The FSBBA merely stops Congress from effectively adding to our national debt year after year after year and creates a very real moment of accountability for the people of each state and their State Legislature and Governor, when each State's Congressional Delegation must return home with a bill in hand for their State to pay an apportioned share to retire the debt caused by borrowing the previous year and they learn there is no free lunch coming from Washington D.C's cesspool.

The United States may be headed for a default in 2025
.
See: U.S heading for default in 2025, potentially tanking the U.S. credit rating and sending shockwaves through global markets
Also see: Moody's Might Downgrade US Credit After the Election
One thing is irrefutable. Congress has been acting in financial ways that are destructive to the general welfare of the United States, and our Constitution is being subverted by misappropriation of federal revenue. Shouldn't DOGE list these two root causes in their plan and offer a remedy which effectively prevents Congress from adding to our national debt, year after year after year, perhaps by adding a balanced budget amendment to our Constitution?

Steve Levy at Newsmax addresses U.S. Debt, suggests balanced budget amendment
.
.
See: Fiscal Hawks Should Push for Balanced Budget, Not Debt Ceiling
January 3rd, 2025
Steve Levy goes on to promote a balanced budget amendment, but nowhere does he offer the text of a well-designed BBA which meets necessary fundamental criteria such as:If we as a nation are to solve our enormous debt and spending dilemma, we must first understand what the debt ceiling is — and is not.
- Does it allow Congress to raise all necessary revenue, including in times of emergency?
- Does it limit how Congress raises its revenue in a manner that is consistent with our nation’s founding principles?
- Does it allow spending as found necessary by Congress during the course of a fiscal year?
- Does it create a real and immediate moment of accountability for each State’s Congressional Delegation, when Congress borrows during the course of a fiscal year to meet its expenses?
- Does it contain an escape clause rendering the amendment meaningless or allow Congress to effectively add to the national debt, year after year?
Aside from Mr. Levy not offering the text of an appropriate BBA, to his credit, he is spot on in that a well-designed “. . . balanced budget requirement would force many . . .” needed spending cuts “. . . to be implemented by a recalcitrant big spending Congress,” and would thus help in dealing with our national debt crisis.
.
