Article II, Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution states that the President must be a "natural born Citizen," which some scholars say means born in the country to two parents who are citizens at the time of the birth

(Feb. 28, 2011) — Conservative activist Andy Martin recently announced that he is running for the Republican Presidential nomination in 2012, and just released his first campaign advertisement about Obama’s eligibility. But there are some things Mr. Martin has been silent about when it comes to his own eligibility.

Research shows that Martin’s full name is Anthony Robert Martin-Trigona, and his website claims that he was born in 1945 in Middletown, Connecticut.

None of Martin’s campaign websites identify either of his parents. But where he avoids disclosure, other websites provide answers. This genealogical website includes “Anthony Robert Martin-Trigona born 1945,â€

Never heard of Andy Martin....

He cannot have it both ways. If Obama is ineligible because of his British father, then so is Martin.

Conversely, if Obama is eligible because he managed to hide his documents, then so should Martin.

So did Andy Martin release his certified long form birth certificate showing he was born in CT? That would make everything else irrelevant wouldn't it?

I am not sure who Any Martin is this came from the postmail and they are the main ones trying to prove Obama is not legally holding his office. Now do we want to go down this road again???? Obama doesn't make it legal !!!! If he is legally able to run then fine if he is not then he needs to be checked out. Since Congress doesn't do it maybe the people need to.

I see...well the legality of Andy Martin (whoever he is) is irrelevant to obama. Andy Martin being illegal/legal to serve as POTUS doesn't change obama's situation. Andy Martin hasn't been elected ( I think) to anything yet.

This piece is akin to school children running around on the playground, teasing each other while saying, "I know you are but what am I."

This is a bit misleading. My understanding of "natural born Citizen" is one who is born to both parents having been born on this soil. Not just citizens but born here as well.
