New York Teen Arrested In Connection With Videotaped "Knockout Game" Attack On Elderly Woman



An upstate New York teenager was arrested yesterday in connection with an online video showing him punching an elderly woman in the head as she exits a Rochester convenience store.

Devin Alexander, 16, was busted Wednesday on a probation violation charge, according to a Rochester Police Department spokesperson (who declined to reveal how Alexander, who was on probation for a robbery conviction, allegedly violated terms of his supervision). The teenager is currently in custody.

Alexander, pictured at right, is seen in a video that was first posted to a Facebook page titled “True Goon Tocool Sneekey.” The clip, which was publicized by Rochester blogger/activist David Vara, shows Alexander outside the store telling a giggling cameraman that he


was going to “smack the old lady with the snowball when she come out the store.”

But when the woman emerged from the business, Alexander instead threw a roundhouse left that struck the woman--whose back was to the teenager--in the head. The assault so delighted the man filming the crime that he screamed “Smack cam!” five times. As the duo fled, the cameraman noted, “She gonna call the cops.”

Police are continuing to investigate the attack, which apparently occurred earlier this month. Both Alexander and the cameraman will likely face criminal charges stemming from the incident, which has been compared to so-called knockout attacks that have recently been the subject of numerous news reports.

Elder abuse is not limited to caregivers. Why aren't these punks that are attacking the elderly being charged with elder abuse?

Regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, or sex, elderly individuals are at risk of suffering from some form of abuse. Elder abuse may be physical, sexual, psychological, or financial in nature. Next to children, elderly individuals constitute the portion of the population that is most vulnerable to this harmful behavior. In many cases, an elder is not physically capable of guarding themselves against physical attacks by perpetrators.

I'm not advocating shooting anybody, but there are so many of these incidents occuring these days, that it's only a matter of time before some punk gets blown away.

One of these thugs is going to hit somebody packing a gun and fail to knock them out, and the victim is going to shoot them. Sad to say, a hoodlum getting shot might be what it takes to get other hoods to stop playing this atrocious game.

The media didn’t dare acknowledge the existence of the knockout game, a game where some bored teen decides to knock out a complete stranger by sneaking up on him and punching him in the face. Usually, the attackers are black, and the victims are white. That’s why the media didn’t want to bring up the game. They wouldn’t want their viewers to get the wrong idea.

They only recently acknowledged its existence when some white kid played the game with an older black man. Then, the media took notice, and Holder’s Department of “Justice” charged him with a hate crime. I’m sure many a liberal media outlet had “expert panels” where the participants would ruminate aloud about how these white-on-black crimes are escalating.

It seems that the media just don’t see the black-on-white knockouts. Or if they do, then they’ll say that they’re just “teenagers being teenagers.” Maybe that’s why the Rochester Police Department in New York is claiming that a local knockout suspect is guilty of harassment, but not assault. After all, according to the Rochester PD spokes(wo)man, the older white woman who was sucker-punched didn’t sustain “substantial pain” for it to be considered anything more than just harassment.

The attack was perpetrated by a few really bored black teens who get a kick out of causing others pain. The attacker himself went by “True Goon” and had a Facebook account under the name “True Goon Tocool Sneeky.” You think maybe he meant “too cool” instead of “tocool?” Who knows. But perhaps he thought he was too cool for school. Here’s the footage recorded by one of True Goon’s friend:
