Newspaper Establishes Registered Gun Database, Equates Gun Owners to Sex Offenders

On November 30, 2009, the Bloomington Herald-Times made the following announcement:

“This week, HeraldTimesOnline.com will launch its new gun permit database. You’ll be able to search gun permit records by county, city or town and street.â€

Such information would also give gangs and thieves the addresses of houses where they could steal firearms. Why don't they just go ahead and give the type of weapon and supply of ammo as well?

G-D newspapers!!!!!!!!!!! Not only are they enemies of the military overseas in combat, these jerkoffs are the worst enemy of the people with their attitude on reporting anything. Not only should this have never been put into print, did they ever stop to think, should it have been put out? No I really doubt it. They are hurting for revenue, so anything goes.

Obviously, the rationale for this is they are treating gun owners as a plausible threat to public safety like sex offenders. In New York their on a registry kick, where they are now working a law to creat a domestic violence registry, DUI Registry, Etc. Eventually, everyone will be on some sort of registry regardless if they commited a crime or not because of a "Plausible Threat" rationale. This IMO is already way out of control and should be challanged.
