Jeremiah Wright May Have Just Sunk Obama's Campaign
The Obama campaign is off the rails.

The entire tone of the race changed the moment we saw the first fiery Wright sermon. The sight of those sermons triggered a question in a lot of voters' minds: How do you get the moderate-sounding, pleasant, agreeable student Barack Obama from an angry, divisive, radical, way-out-of-the-mainstream teacher like Jeremiah Wright? The sermons weren't quite a deal-breaker, but many Obama supporters, leaners, and undecideds were asking... how did Obama choose this man as a mentor? How could he possibly not know that his mentor had these attitudes? And does Obama agree with any of Wright's inflammatory statements?

In response, Obama gave a very eloquent speech about race relations in America. But it never quite answered the question, and in fact tried to blur the distinction between family we are born into and those we choose to turn to for guidance. Hillary jabbed at this in the debate, and Obama never quite had an appropriate response. He even said he disowned Wright, then backtracked and said he disowned his controversial statements.

And since then, it's gotten worse, even with a Bill Moyers interview that wasn't softball so much as it was Nerf Tee-Ball. We've heard Wright compare the Roman Legions who punished Jesus to the U.S. Marines, we've heard him argue that the U.S. and al-Qaeda are doing the same acts under different flags, etc.

Now we hear Wright analyzing the differences between white and black brains (!) and that the criticism of him for his comments was "an attack on the black church." He didn't retract his assertion that the U.S. government created the AIDS virus. He didn't retract his accusation that the United States had committed terrorism. He raved about Louis Farrakhan.

And again, we're left with that question... presuming Obama strongly disagrees with all of Wright's statements in these areas... how did he end up selecting this pastor? This church? (I know we get the story in Obama's autobiography. But did Obama once agree with all of the crazy conspiracy theories? Does he still agree, late at night, when the microphones and television cameras are far away?)

Obama is saying he should be president, instead of two much more experienced rivals, because of his superior judgment. But what kind of judgment is needed to select Wright as a surrogate father figure?

Jake Tapper: "He clearly was not doing Obama any favors, not only by reappearing before a ravenous media thus distracting from Obama's attempt to relate better to white working class voters in Indiana and North Carolina, but by implying Obama's condemnation of some of his sermons was not sincere."

How would Wright classify Obama's brain, since Obama is half black and half white? No brain?

Having seen Jeremiah Wright interviewed on PBS and seeing what he said in context it is obvious that the opponents are being deceptive. Anyone can selectively quote anyone else to say anything if they avoid context. "Even the devil may quote scripture for own his purposes" is a well known saying.

I figured if any one would sink Obama's election it would be the rev.
Mr. Wright should do his friend a favor and keep his mouth shut.

Whining about being "taken out of context" is a well worn path for those who have been exposed like Wright. Many of his comments are disgusting, including those at the NPC.

My beliefs exactly...... when preachers take a verse from the Bible out of context. You can take any verse, or any line out of context and twist it to fit whatever you want it to mean. Maybe one could conclude the blacks are having their "chickens come home to roost" for something they did back when Africa was the worlds power. Maybe they should stop whining and realize they are getting what they deserve. Harsh but what's the difference? What about Job if you want to go quoting scriptures? Did nothing wrong....but had to prove his faith in spite of it.

My parents went to their grave wondering what they did wrong to deserve loosing their daughter...having horrible illnesses....spent their whole life living for God. Never smoke, drank, stole....beat their kids according to the scriptures...you name it.....what did they do wrong?

If it's wrong to take to take his "clips" out of context....then don't take Gods out of context to suit your agenda. Works both ways......doesn't it?


There's many things he said I agree with....but not with his attitude of race based agenda. I read books, went to school and even when I was in COLLEGE.....I had doubts placed in my mind as to where AIDS came from. Before then we had horrific consequences from another vaccine.....seen the movie Awakenings? Hey....white people got that shot....very few blacks did. I don't know if was on purpose or an ignorant accident....but more than blacks die from aids. Doubt more blacks died from aids than any other ethnic group either either. Remember....for awhile....it was Gods punishment for GAYS!!!!!!

You can even go to politics where Chicago politicians wanted to dump outdated Illinois vaccines to Africa.....complete with MAJORITY BLACK politicians signing on!!!!!!!!

He wanted an apology from whites for slavery....he said England did on down the line........can you seriously say....Lincoln, Carter, Clinton, SOMEBODY didn't appologise? Heck laws and rules and everything have been changed because people realised it was wrong. What more do they want? I am not going to appologise for something I didn't do or that my parents or their own family didn't do. Never did.....were advocates for what not to do.....I am not going to appologise for something I was not a part of. Has the Africian politicians appologised for selling their own people off to slavery?

I'm Irish.....I never got an official appology from the rich elite using and abusing "my people". Heck...you slaves were more valuable than mine were. They had to PAY for you.....got mine for free.

They sent "my people" off to fight and die for a country they never got a chance to live in. They were abused....got on a boat...suffered months at sea...landed and then were immediatly off to war..... I am 100% totally sick of this race crap. Like the ONLY people who were ever slaves and treated un-fairly were Blacks.

I took womens studies classes.....they abused women of all colors.....funny...they got their greatest research from black women....they were seen as stronger. Us white women died off too quick. We were too weak.....we were also starved and abused and kept in a weak state. Want to see some really abusive things? Go to Palmer College of Chiropractic and view the skeletons of people from all over the world. The caved in and deformed rib cages of White women in order to fit into their corsets. The feet of Oriental women who were bent over and so deformed so they would stay subservient.

Then one of the best is the African nation....and the neck rings.....stretched their necks out to almost 2 feet above their shoulders.....disobey and they cut the rings and let them die. You want to talk abuse.....look to your own.........

Lets not forget how loving and fair the black community is to genital mutilation. You know....the wonderful BLACK culture that takes 8 yr old girls and takes a sharp rock and brutalialy chops off their external organs and flesh. Oh ya....you da man!!!!!!

You want to flash whip marks from male slave someone paid for....yet you deform your own women and you are better? Trust me......I'd rather be a slave of the WHITE man than the SLAVE of a BLACK one.

They had another African practice.....they wrapped your head.....they wrapped and squeezed your head to a seriously deformed shape.....look to your own culture and see for yourself. Maybe the Africans are getting punished for their own in-humane practices.....not on other people,,,,,but on there very own people.

And please.....lets not forget the African tribe who used plates to stretch the mouth and lips of their people. Started as babies....just like the neck rings......stretched them to un-human extreems....why did they? 9 x's out of 10 was to abuse women and the weak......oh ya....black rules? Want to whine about what you do 100 x's worse to your own people!!!!!!

In all seriousness.....you blacks should be thanking the whites for saving you from this. But you want it? Go back and embrace your African heritage....stretched necks, abused genetlia and all it encompases. Want a circumsision for MANHOOD with a ROCK? Makes gang initation a joke. Lets let your WOME#N go and 100% embrace YOUR AFRICAN culture!!!!!!!!! 8 yr old girls?....when mom says it's a trip to the mall....they will take to a room,,,take a ROCK and slowly and painfully saw off your outward genetaila....and sew it all closed. In early 2007 I was interim Excutive Director of the state of Massachusetts largest immigration control lobby organization as a result of the elected Executive Director stepping down to move to Maine. Then there was an election in which another activist ran unopposed and he then became Executive Director and I did not run. The new and old Executive Directors were both White.


What got me was not that the new Executive Director was a White. It was that one of the new activists who came in under their new Executive Director was a White Supremacist who kept trying to frame immigration control as a White Supremacist movement in which Blacks had no or a minimal place.


Immigration and favoritism for Whites has historically been a major part of why Blacks have been under performing. This goes back to the period between 1880 and 1924 and was writtenabout by Dr. WEB DuBois in his book on Philadelphia at the turn of the century.


There is now another group of immigrants Latinos whose ethnic institutions have been favoring admitting even illegal aliens even if they compete in the same trades and thereby undermine our Black citizens.


I happen to have some Latin relatives and I do not disparge the entry of the legal Latino immigrants but the institutional structures in the United States favor illegal immigrants over Blacks. I do not agree with Wright point by point but his position and concerns as they were expressed on Moyers are within reasonable parameters.
