Thank you for contacting me regarding H.R. 2454, the American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009. I appreciate hearing from you on such an important issue because it enables me to better represent the beliefs and values of our district.



On June 29, 2009, the House of Representatives passed the American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009 (ACES). This legislation is an important step towards building a new clean energy economy. This bill will create millions of clean energy jobs, put America on a path to energy independence, and help limit carbon emissions which contribute to global warming. Also included in the ACES bill is my GREEN Act, which provides incentives for people to buy, build or remodel their homes and businesses using energy efficient practices. I was proud to vote for this bill and begin changing the way we power our nation while ensuring lower energy costs for future generations. These are the kinds of investments in our future we must make now.



As a supporter of green energy initiatives, I am fortunate for the opportunity to represent Colorado's 7th Congressional District, which is home to the National Renewable Energy Lab (NREL) located in Golden. I am a proponent of wind and solar energy as well as other forms of renewable energy. The reality is fossil fuel use is and will be a part of our energy portfolio, but for far too long we have refused to diversify our energy portfolio ensuring the security of our nation. Therefore, I will continue to do all I can to work toward the advancement of a sustainable energy policy to meet our nation's growing energy demands. It is essential to collectively move in the direction of energy sustainability. It is good for national security, the climate and jobs.

Sometimes I don't know why I even waste my time... They are just going to do what they want because the people don't have any power over them anymore....

The people HAVE the power they just don't use it.
It is called VOTE THEM ALL OUT OF OFFICE!

Last Nov 08 - Congress had a 9% approval rating.

Radio Show Hosts like Lou Dobbs, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh and more, many more - kept saying WOW - what if they all get voted out of office?

I mean 9% approval rating - the lowest ever recorded!!!!

Guess what - "We the People" voted 94% right back into office.

The definition of stupidity is to keep doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

In 2010 we can't forget and forgive Cap and Trade, and Stimulus and ..... Tarp and AIG and General Motors and ACORN and give the Barney Franks and Harry Reids there jobs again.

If we do then we need to go and look into the mirror as the blame is squarely on our shoulders.

Personally I get a chuckle out of doing it.

If you don't vote them out of office then you are an "Enabler".

It's to late to turn back now. LOL
I'd rather go down fighting than lay there and take this CRAP from our own Government.
I wrote an email so bad to the Director of Transportation that wants to allow illegals to get licenses! We've been thru this and we won. Now the idiot after 3-months of us showing our REAL birth Certificates he wants to stop that. It is hard for some people to come up with their Birth Certificates???
THEN WALK OR TAKE A TAXI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, the next morning I reread it and sent another one, apologizing for the first one BUT that I meant it all.
Then I find out my BEST friend works with the jerk!!!
