Obama administration issues hundreds of health care exemptio

Kind of like do as I say not as I do!!! If the HCR was so wonderful why are all of our politicians and unions not going to be on it? Why are all these exemptions taking place for special business and people? Well waiting for answer to that one? Don't you think it should be all for one and one for all..and that means every legal resident from the homeless to the big corporation owners and union workers, not a single person or business left out out of the mix. This also is including Mr Presedante' after all he works for us not the other way around. All for one one for all...no ands ifs or buts....

(NaturalNews) If Obamacare is everything the administration claims it to be, then why are government officials secretly handing out exemption waivers to friends and insiders? A Washington Times report explains that since the health care bill was passed last year, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has issued at 733 exemptions-and-counting to friends of the White House in order to shelter them from the massive insurance rate hikes that the rest of America will get stuck paying, that is if the bill is not overturned or declared unconstitutional.

It began with 111 waivers, which gradually rose to 222, and that has now topped 733. Recipients include various cities and states, businesses, and unions, including the Service Employees International Union (SEIU). SIEU, of course, contributed $27 million to the Obama campaign back in 2008, so perhaps the union's waiver was a friendly "thank you" gift.

According to the report, more than 500 of the 733 waivers were quietly issued back in December, but were not revealed until after the recent State of the Union address. In fact, the reality of such waivers has been largely hush-hush from the administration of supposed "transparency" all along, probably due to the fact that they expose the health care scam for what it truly is.

One of the cornerstones of the health care bill is Section 2711 of the Public Health Service Act, which outlines an increase in the annual cap of insurance benefits. On the surface, this sounds like a good thing, and it is something that the Obama administration has been hailing. But what is overlooked is the fact that someone will have to foot the bill for this increase which, based on the administration's actions, equals everyone who is not a "friend" of the White House.

Several U.S. states are now in the process of declaring the whole of Obamacare void, including Montana, Wyoming, Oregon, and Maine. And U.S. District Judge Roger Vinson declared Monday that the bill is unconstitutional, making him the second federal judge to have ruled against its validity.

I am getting real tired of the double standard bullcrap. This HCR needs to be repealed and a sane fix put in that works for the American people not against them.

Obama to DeGeneres on Why He Opposed Individual Mandate: Forcing Uninsured to Buy Insurance Is Like Forcing Homeless to Buy Homes

(CNSNews.com) - Long before his administration went into federal court to fight 27 states that are now challenging the constitutionality of the federal government forcing people to buy health insurance, then-presidential candidate Barack Obama told Ellen DeGeneres that—unlike his opponent Hillary Clinton—he opposed forcing the uninsured to buy health insurance, saying that it would be like forcing the homeless to buy homes.

“Both of us want to provide health care to all Americans. There’s a slight difference, and her plan is a good one. But, she mandates that everybody buy health care. She’d have the government force every individual to buy insurance and I don’t have such a mandate because I don’t think the problem is that people don’t want health insurance, it’s that they can’t afford it,â€

New York City Teachers Union Is Largest Recipient of Obamacare Waiver; Parent AFT Union Spent $1.9 Million on Obama Election

(CNSNews.com) – The United Federation of Teachers (UFT), the union representing New York City’s public school teachers, is the largest beneficiary of a waiver from one of the provisions in the health-care law signed by President Barack Obama last year.

The UFT is a chapter of the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), which spent $1.9 million on the election of President Barack Obama in 2008. The UFT is also an affiliate of the New York State United Teachers, which spent $46,139 in independent expenditures on the election of Obama.

The health care law, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, requires that annual caps on how much an insurance plan will pay in benefits for an enrollee in any given year must be eliminated by 2014. Under the law, the Department of Health and Human Services is now phasing the coverage limits out. In 2011, yearly caps can be no less than $750,000; in 2012, they can be no less than $1.25 million; and in 2013, they can be no less than $2 million in 2013.

The waivers granted to the UFT locals exempt them from having to comply with the phasing out of the annual benefits caps. A total of 351,000 enrollees are in the UFT’s health insurance plan, the UTF Welfare Fund.

The UFT enrollees comprise about 15 percent of the total 2.2 million enrollees on plans with one-year waivers. The UFT insurance plan has more enrollees than any of the other 733 entities on the list that are receiving HHS-approved waivers.

An example of an annual limit is found in the UFT Welfare Fund, which caps spending on prescription drugs at $100,000 per year per policy holder. Under the HHS regulation to phase out annual limits, the cap would have to be $750,000. Thus, without a waiver from the federal government, the Welfare Fund would not be in compliance with the new health care law.

The waivers are granted if the Department of Health and Human Services determines “compliance in the interim final regulations would result in a significant decrease in access to benefits or a significant increase in premiums,â€

SEIU Gets Three More Obamacare Waivers; Union's PAC Spent $27 Million Backing Obama's Election

(CNSNews.com) – Three additional locals of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU)--an organization whose political action committee spent $27 million in independent expenditures promoting Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign--received one-year waivers exempting them from complying with a provision in the new health care law.

That brings to six the total number of SEIU locals that have received waivers from Obamacare.

The waivers granted to the SEIU locals exempt them from having to comply with the phasing out of the annual benefits caps.

A waiver for the SEIU Health and Welfare Fund 2000 in St. Louis, Mo., covering 161 enrollees, was approved on Dec. 23, 2010, according to the updated list of waivers released last week by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The SEIU Health and Welfare Fund, covering 1,620 enrollees, was approved for a waiver on Dec. 20, 2010. SEIU Local 300, the Civil Service Forum Employees Welfare Fund in New York City covering 2,000 enrollees, got a waiver on Dec. 17, 2010.

CNSNews.com previously reported that three locals, including the Chicago chapter of SEIU, received waivers, according to the initial list released by the HHS. These were Local 25 SEIU in Chicago with 31,000 enrollees, approved on Oct. 1, 2010; Local 1199 SEIU Greater New York Benefit Fund with 4,544 enrollees, on Oct. 10, 2010; and SEIU Local 1 Cleveland Welfare Fund with 520 enrollees, on Nov. 15, 2010.

The SEIU, with more than 2 million members nationwide, includes health care workers, janitors, security guards, and state and local government workers.

So far, the Obama administration has issued waivers to 733 entities, including businesses, unions, municipalities and four states, and charitable organizations, covering a total of 2.2 million enrollees.

In September, the HHS announced it would grant waivers to employers to prevent some workers from losing their benefits, if the insurer could not meet the new health care law’s requirements on annual limits (or caps on coverage). The waivers are granted by HHS if the department determines “compliance with the interim final regulations would result in a significant decrease in access to benefits or a significant increase in premiums,â€
