President Obama took part in Major League Baseball's All-Star Game last night in St. Louis, and joked "we're out of money" when an announcer discussed a bailout plan to help the National League.

"To be quite honest, the American League has just been a better league, dominating," said Fox sportscaster Joe Buck. "And over the last several years, I think the National League is catching up."

"No bailout plan, though, in place for the National League," Buck added, drawing laughter from his colleague Tim McCarver.

Obama interjected, "No, we're out of money."

The exchange can be seen at about the four-minute mark into this video posted on YouTube:

Earlier in the day, the president praised the House of Representatives for a health care bill that costs $1 trillion.

The American League won the game 4-3, extending its unbeaten streak to 13 consecutive years, as the 2002 game ended in a tie.
