Thread: What if FL Tea Party votes Dem?

I just wrote a post and lost my connection and the whole post, I'll try to re-create it. grrrrr

I just read in the news section on this website that the FL Repubs are walking back on their promise to pass a AZ law in FL in order to get elected.

Lets analyze this situation a bit. The Repubs say anything to get elected and then renege on their promises after they get elected. We have been doing this for what 30 years now?

So what if the Tea Party in FL threaten them to vote Dem? Nothing else has worked and I am flat out of ideas. If we vote Repub nothing gets done and if we vote Dem nothing gets done. Nothing seems to phase them except getting elected. We are between a rock and a hard place and they know it. There has got to be a way to take their power away and turn it around. Elections are only won by a couple hundred votes anyway.

What if the FL Tea Party starts a campaign that if they dont pass a AZ law they pledge to vote Dem? After they get everybody to sign, send it to them.

A snappy slogan would help too: No 1070, I vote Dem

Thats all I can remember but thats basically the idea.

All politicians are scared to death to loose a couple hundred votes. But they always know deep down that no matter what, we will have to vote for them. Well not so fast. We dont have to plead with them about it. Just inform them this is going to happen and leave it up to them if they would like to call that bluff. What do you think the reaction would be? Does anybody think it might work?

This is a good stratedgy on local elections but would never work for Statewide elections. And since reps are voted in every two years, its perfect. Anything longer than that, it would fail.
