Inside sources are telling NBC News that President Obama is about to issue an Executive Order that will send thousands of Army National Guard units to Africa to help the various African nations there fight the Ebola virus.

According to NBC, “The sources said that eight engineers and logistical specialists from the Guard, both active-duty and reservists, would probably be included in the first deployment. They are expected to help build 17 Ebola treatment centers, with 100 beds apiece. The sources said that no decision had been made.”
The sources also told NBC that the EO will help speed deployment to Africa to fight the virus, especially in Liberia where 2,400 Ebola deaths have been recorded.

Obama Authorizes National Guard, Reserves for Ebola Fight

President Barack Obama issued an executive order on Thursday paving the way for the deployment of National Guard and Reserve forces to West Africa to help contain the Ebola outbreak there.

Under the mandate, the secretaries of defense and homeland security can order to active duty some members of the Selected Reserve and the Individual Ready Reserve mobilization.

Sources earlier told NBC News that eight engineers and logistical specialists from the Guard, both active-duty and reservists, would probably be included in the first deployment. They are expected to help build 17 Ebola treatment centers, with 100 beds apiece. The sources said no decision had yet been made.

Defense Department officials said the executive order was necessary to speed the deployments, and would allow the president to send additional forces as needed. Health officials have recorded more than 2,400 Ebola deaths in Liberia, the highest of any country.

Can't say how disturbed I am about this. Having to seriously hold my tongue and thoughts in check. Our National Guard has absolutely no business in this biological hot zone. No American military has any business in this ebola zone. Want to send specially trained MEDICAL personnel who VOLUNTEER TO GO over there? Fine. As long as they are quarantined for at least 21 days BEFORE coming home on a non-commercial airline. Leave our military out of it. I don't know who the jackass is that dreamed up this idea, but I'd like to have 5 minutes.......nevermind
