Obama Says He Has Authority to 'Go It Alone' on Gun Control

Barack Obama held the last press conference of his first term on Monday and doled out a large dose of left-wing policies. He wants to raise the debt ceiling... again... and he said that there are several things he can do under "executive action" to further his gun-control agenda.

In the press conference, Obama said some gun control measures "I can accomplish through executive action."

What's so pathetic is the way Obama tries to delegitimize the real concerns people, including gun owners, have regarding the direction of the country. To say that the rise of attendance at gun shows and the increase in the purchase of guns is due to "ginned up" fears is completely irresponsible and wrong.

People ARE concerned. And the NRA doesn't have to say a word. Any time a liberal politician speaks about guns, gun sales go up. Barack Obama should be asked about that. Instead he's given a free pass to blast gun-rights advocates while dismissing people's concerns with partisan jabs.
Let's enforce the laws on the books. Let's have people keep guns out of the hands of crazy people, and let's keep the government out of our business!

Obama has NO AUTHORITY to regulate guns unless he declares martial law and a time of war or insurrection. The right to bear arms is a enumerated protection in the Bill of Rights, only Congress and a change to the US Constitution can change gun policy.
