TENT LIVING in Greensboro, NC Article
"Downtown green space dislodges homeless camp in Greensboro, NC"
by The Associated Press / From Asheboro Courier-Tribune

" Greensboro - Work on a $26 million green space through a downtown area has dislodged a half-dozen homeless people living in a tent city, a newspaper reported Saturday. The 4-mile scenic bike and walking trail will connect several Greensboro neighborhoods, but its path through a section of woods is forcing the homeless to move.
'"They told us we had to go, tents and everything,"' said Keith Owens, 45, an unemployed equipment operator who has lived at the camp for a year. '"They did give us a little bit of warning. Anybody dreads moving. It's just a little harder out here."'

How's the hope and change workin' for everyone else? I still don't have work, and am seriously thinking about stooping to Amway and it's pyramid scheme, just to try to make ends meet.

Someone remind me again why the $26 million wasn't used to provide suitable shelter for these people?
And just when was this "green space" planned.......before or after the homeless began moving into the area?Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

It's probably just a ploy intended to get the homeless out of sight.....another form of "revitalization project" which pushes the undesireable element out and elsewhere.
We saw it start with Phoenix until it came our way and now those people are being funneled out to "camp" at the base of the mountainsJoin our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
