Occupy Maine hits the streets

PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Frustration with the financial condition of the Country, activists are taking to the street with their voices.
OccupyMaine kicked off its campaign in Maine Saturday in Monument Square in Portland.
It is a sign of solidarity with the group Occupy Wall Street which started occupying part of the financial district in New York more than a week ago.
Participants say it is time for the days of corporate greed to pass and for the Government to step in and stand up for the 99% of people who represent the rest of the Country.
Momentum for the 'occupy' effort has been carried mostly through social media outlets but campaigns are launching in several states and around the world.
