    Why I Left California

The blatant media malfeasance, the lack of intellectual diversity and the continuing reign of liberal politicians guarantees that California will remain mired in failed liberal policies for the foreseeable future

    Why I Left California

After living in California for 33 years, I finally decided to leave. I sold my business and my home and relocated to South Carolina.

I moved to California when I was 17. Like most of my fellow residents, I was busy living my life. I gave very little thought to politics, assuming that politicians knew best how to run the state. I wasn’t even aware of the difference between Republicans and Democrats. I would always vote, but with 20/20 hindsight, I see how my votes were manipulated and influenced by the overwhelmingly liberal media.

Until age 36, I pretty much followed the party line, believing what I saw on the news and read in the papers. I figured the ‘experts’ knew better than I, and was relieved not to have to form my own opinions. I relied on group thought, which is, or was, extremely pervasive in the Los Angeles area.

I remember hearing a talk show host describe how a school board in Torrance was successful in defeating a Christian candidate and remember feeling glad that there were others out there working to keep radical influences away from our children. I never questioned the premise that Christians were considered radical.

I adopted as fact the headlines I saw on the news. I was busy living my life. It wasn’t until 1992 that I became aware that I had only been exposed to one side of the story. I was not even aware that there was a conservative point of view.

In 1992, Ross Perot was on TV holding up a toilet seat. Perot said the Air Force had paid something like $700.00 for that toilet seat. He then said the 5 words that changed my life forever. “And this is public knowledge.â€

I feel the exact same way if I even mention closing the boarders I get treated like I'm raciest. It has nothing to do with race I say only to be told that I'm buying into a scare story from others I'm tired of keeping my mouth shut and watching other take advantage of my state been thinking of moving to az but the works not there either honestly I feel stuck and held hostage. In a few yrs I will be the minority in the state I already am in my city and maybe then someone will listen to me cry

    I left California because :

    - Cost of living
    - Too many mexicans, both legal and illegal
    - Proximity to border
    - Unfriendly and suspicious behavior of people I met
    - Insanity of state government
    - Traffic congestion
    - Pervasive liberal drug environment
    - Constant feeling of insecurity
    - Too many illegal aliens...did I already say that?
    - Earthquakes

Now, some of you might surmise from my comments that I don't like California...and you'd be right. California represents EVERYTHING that's wrong with America. I hope that the good, common sense, fiscal conservatives all move to western Arizona where one day they may have beachfront property. Let the liberal lunatics who caused this epic disaster slide off into the pacific.
...I call on you in the name of Liberty, of patriotism & everything dear to the American character, to come to our aid...

I was born and raised in Ca and left quite awhile ago. I have a lot of family and friends there and I will say this .When it comes to illegals the people In Orange Co are screaming about them and want them gone and understand now how they have changed Ca.
Now here in Stupid Washington its the opposite they all feel bad for them and wow how can you say such a thing..I am not a racist and if you were born and raised near the border states there was no way that you could be. We all have friends of other races .I don't know anyone in my life that doesn't. Now as for the Mexicans they stick to there own that is the illegals and some legal ones. Washington let me down and as I have said to many here that if they don't nip it in the bud they will be feeling that nip in your A$$es. So fast forward we are now out numbered and crime has shot up and they still stand there acting stupid!!
