AN OPEN LETTER TO POLITICIANS AND BUREAUCRATS EVERYWHERE:

Our forefathers gave us a Republic, you turned it into a Socialist Democracy.

We had free enterprise, you gave us managed competition and Keynesian economics.

We had a Treasury, you gave us a central bank in the Federal Reserve.
We had an industrial base unparalleled in the history of the world, you gutted it.
We had the best merchant fleet, you scrapped it.
We had fifty sovereign States, you gave us ten Federal Regions.
Where we once had law, you gave us social engineering in lieu of justice.
We had an educational system that worked, you turned it into a propaganda mill for political correctness.
Our military, until Korea, was undefeated. You turned it into a hired gun for the U.N.

Where we once stood alone, completely self-sufficient and a true world leader, you gave us global interdependence.
To accomplish all this, you taxed us unmercifully.
You abandoned the Constitution in favor of the U.N. Charter.
In short, you, the politicians and bureaucrats, have robbed, raped and pillaged this once great nation and turned it into a provenance for what you call a “New Word Order.”


If you wonder why you are held in such contempt, you might reflect on the above reasons. Further, if you think your treason has gone unnoticed, it hasn’t. On any given day across this land, in cafes, churches, in homes, anywhere that’s convenient to meet, people who still love this Old Republic gather. And like it of not, they are talking about YOU!

Ban Guns For A False Sense Of Security

When tragedy strikes as it did in a small Connecticut town, there are those who rush to judgment. They look for something to blame, usually something that they find personally distasteful-like legal firearm ownership. It’s always the inanimate object or its owner that’s to blame.

A carpenter cannot blame his saw for a botched remodeling job because the saw doesn’t move until the carpenter plugs it in, picks it up, and presses the trigger. Likewise, a firearm doesn’t discharge unless outside forces act upon it. A firearm cannot load itself, it cannot aim itself, and it certainly can’t pull the trigger on its own-obeying Newton’s first Law of Physics-for those who believe the science of physics is settled.

So for those who believe that this tragedy is the final straw in the gun control discussion-what then of the other means to kill or injure? Do we move to ban knives, razors, bats, and screw drivers? Do we then add automobiles, rope, fertilizer, flammables, subway cars, bridges, or overpasses? Why not ban airliners because 3000 people were killed by terrorists on September 11, 2001 using passenger jets?

Humans have been killing other humans since the Cain and Able incident; that didn’t involve a gun, though. Because the human mind is able to conceive of almost anything, a rock was the weapon of choice for what is arguably history’s first recorded murder.

Interestingly enough, none of the people who like to blame responsible gun ownership for tragedies ever blames the makers of violent video games like “Grand Theft Auto” or Hollywood producers of movies like “Saw”.

A shooting spree is no more heartbreaking than a drunk driver killing innocent motorists or a hijacker using an airliner as a weapon. The common ground is the human mind that is responsible for deliberate acts of violence. There is no defense against someone willing and able to use whatever is at their disposal to accomplish their goal.

A ban on guns will give you as false a sense of security as those “gun-free zone” signs posted on school grounds.
