(04-03) 17:37 PDT FAIRFIELD -- Two people were shot, one by a federal agent, near a Walmart in Fairfield Thursday afternoon, police said.

The gunfire came after investigators with a federal task force tracked down an attempted murder suspect behind the Walmart on the 2700 block of North Texas Street at 2:46 p.m., Fairfield police said. The suspect had a handgun, and was shot by an agent, according to police.

Officers did not say if the suspect shot at the investigators.

Fairfield police responded to the scene to assist, and were able to help the agents locate a related suspect, who was also wanted for attempted murder, on the same block about 30 minutes later.

The second suspect was also armed and shot by Fairfield police.

Police did not release the identities of the suspects. Their conditions are unknown.

No officers or federal agents were injured, police said.

Two men, both wanted for attempted murder were shot in two separate incidents in Fairfield on Thursday afternoon.

It began at the Walmart on North Texas Street in Fairfield when Police and federal agents made their move on 27-year-old Markell Davis. They approached him behind Wal-Mart .
Davis, who was armed with a handgun, was shot during the confrontation. Police say he was shot by a federal agent, but did not say what led to the shooting. Markell Davis was wanted in connection with a February 17th shooting Claybank Road.
Then, 30 minutes later at an apartment building across the street from the Wal-Mart, police cornered a related suspect in a car.
33-year-old Cory Davis, of Suisun City, also wanted for attempted murder.
A witness said Cory Davis was shot while being taken out of a car with a female and two children. He was shot by an officer, and again, police did not say what led to the shooting.
Both men hospitalized, their conditions are not known. No officers were injured in the incidents.
Police continue to investigate the shootings, but are not searching for suspects.
