I can see it happening as one summer as a boy I lived with my grandparents. My parents were in town and had we all gone to the same event both my parents and grandparents could assume I was with the other.
I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. Remittances are now mostly spent on consumption not production assets. Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Frankly, this is the result of parents who are too self-involved to bother with the welfare of their kids. What were these people drinking anyway? I mean--your child's not there to be tucked in bed at night. No red flags go up even then??? I can't imagine a situation where I would forget my kids or just assume they were with someone else--I always confirm, confirm and reconfirm their whereabouts. Their welfare is THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IN THE WORLD TO ME. Child Welfare Services should take all the kids away for awhile, then the parents can run amuck without a care. Oh wait! They're already doing that!

I was the same way too. I never assumed anyone had my kids. My kids were always with me and were I could see them. I always helped them in and out of car seats, and tucked them in at night. Even in a pack of kids my attention was on my own first and foremost. My kids always came first.
