It turns my stomach at all the people screaming to "get off foreign oil" and we sit on BILLIONS of barrels we refuse to drill for because of a bunch of wacko enviromentals. The global warming hoax is nothing but a front for communist, socialist takeover. You will notice that they are chief among the promoters of the scam.

1000's of products are made from oil and we will never get away from dependence but we could get away from foreign dependence. Just tell the "greenies" to go pound sand!

Here's my theory on why we don't use our own oil. The American oil cartels are going to sit on that oil until they can get as much per barrel as Opec is currently getting. In EUROS.

I don't think the environmental wackos have much to do with the fact we aren't drilling our own oil. There is no way they could stop this if our government and/or the oil companies wanted it done - not with oil the price it is. The blame lies with our government and the oil companies that have a ring in their noses.

The real reason, I'm not sure - but I suspect it may be a deal with Saudi Arabia and others.

I believe Mr. Williams is the one I read about that was there when the pipeline was going through. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe his story was that the US government kept changes rules and regulations and making them move camp for enviromental reasons until the oil companies were behind and running out of money - in came the shieks and bailed them out - for part of the deal.

It could very well be something like that with our oil. Of course if the Bushes and friends (including ME friends) are all invested in the same oil companies - they don't care where the oil comes from as long as they get big profits.

I agree with you, but I don't think the sheiks have something with it, I think the oil companies want the high price so they are not interessed in exploring Alaska.
I don't believe the trushes & gangs are going to depend on sheiks, quite contrary.
I believe it's all lies and excuses to justify why they are not exploring .
