RE: Tourism and economic development

Dear Mr. Roth,

The word is out all over the World that Florida is a dangerous, trashy, expensive, non-English speaking cesspool.
Several yachting newsletter have alerted the boating crowd to avoid Florida because of the danger from roving criminal gangs of illegal invaders.
Many web sites have accounts posted by vacationers of horrible experiences from illegal invaders when visiting Florida. The reports were traffic accidents caused by invaders who had no license, could not read the signs and had no insurance. Visitors had to suck up the financial losses while having their trip ruined.
Some of the reports were robbery, theft and unwanted sexual advances. Inability to be seen in hospital emergency room due to overflow of non-English speaking people. Inability to purchase in stores due to lack of Spanish language. Rudeness of illegal residents was a major complaint.
The news has reached Europe. Forty Finn families broke their tradition of wintering in Florida because of threatening episodes from illegal invaders last year.
The Hospitality Industry of Florida hires illegal workers. They want cheap labor. The illegal workers establish colonies near tourist destinations. These colonies attract the criminal gangs because of the shared culture. This culture has no respect for the rule of law. The consequences are the destruction of the tourist industry.
No colorful enticing brochure can overcome word of mouth horror experiences.
Sincerely,
Shelva Preston
