    Police vehicle struck
    THE ENQUIRER
LOWER PRICE HILL -- A man is accused of driving drunk when his vehicle struck a police vehicle Saturday night, then fleeing before he and two passengers were arrested.

Alex Lopez Perez, 21, face charges of operating a vehicle while impaired, driving left-of-center, leaving the scene of a crash, falsification, no driver’s license and having an open container of alcohol.

A police report says he failed field-sobriety tests and gave officers a false name, but officers learned his real name after they found his Mexican identification card inside the vehicle.

Angel Junio Miguel, 24, of Owensboro, is charged with falsification for allegedly giving police fake identification cards, and Robeli Vazquez, also of Owensboro, was arrested on a charge that he possessed an open can of Modelo Especial beer in the motor vehicle.

Further information on the crash with the police vehicle, which occurred in the 1400 block of State Avenue around 9 p.m., was unavailable Sunday.

That does not surprise me. There was a BOLO out for a Hispanic male for assaulting a police officer. The guy got away from the officer before his back up arrived. It think it occured during a traffic stop.
