Poll: 26 Percent of Americans Approve of Obama’s Handling of Economy, A New Low

Poll results released Thursday from Gallup show that just 26 percent of Americans approve of President Barack Obama’s handling of the economy, which is a new low for the President. http://www.gallup.com/poll/149042/New-L ... onomy.aspx The President’s approval rating on the economy has sunk 11 points since the polling agency last measured it in mid-May. Previously, his lowest approval rating on the economy was 35 percent in November 2010.

In its analysis of the poll results, Gallup mentioned that Obama’s overall approval rating is in decline.

“President Obama’s approval rating has dwindled in recent weeks to the point that it is barely hugging the 40% line. Three months earlier, it approached or exceeded 50%.
