Strong Voter Turnout for Wisconsin Recall

    RANDOM THOUGHTS/COMMENTS:

    9:39 PM – Luther Olsen is a WIN! GOP-3, DEM-0 so far…

    9:22 PM – Harsdorf is a WIN! GOP-2, DEM-0 so far…

    9:19 PM - Robert Cowles is a WIN! GOP-1, DEM-0 so far…

9:11 PM – Campaign to Defeat Barack Obama is reporting Senator Robert Cowles looks to be a likely win for the GOP with 57% of precincts reporting with 59% of vote.

8:53 PM – Campaign to Defeat Barack Obama has a team up in Green Bay. Sources in the group say current results trickling in look good for GOP in 5 of 6 races.

8:35 PM – As a reminder, the GOP can afford to lose two seats to recall today. Three would be very problematic. State Senator Dan Kapanke is probably the most likely GOP Senator to be recalled by the unions. One more is vulnerable and the rest of toss-ups.

8:21 PM – Some of my contacts on the ground are frustrated that Scott Walker appears to be MIA today and over the past few days. Also notable is the lack of support from 2012 GOP hopefuls. Some say it would be toxic but this election is about the battle of bases. “Independentâ€

These districts were constructed for republicans and strong holds for them to hold but lost 2 and dems. was just hoping to get 3 but knew they would get 2 easly so any win for them was a win against the rep.REP.spent almost 40 million dollars to hold on to what they redistrict to keep. All of these districs went Obama in 2008.Thats why they redistrict them.So 2 wins is a victory for dems and a lose for rep.Even tho rep. still control senate they have a republican now voting with them out of another district that will help the dems.GOP spent in district 8 over 8 million dollars to keep Darling the most spent ever in an election anywhere in the U.S.history.
