This is what some here are emailing me?
I doubt it is Ron Paul's stance on Illegal Immigration! Anyone know?

I will be telling them to drop me from their list as I feel they have taken a turn for the worst.
I will stay on to awhile to forward the results of what they say after we flood them with emails.

Our governor is either running scared or is performing a back room deal with DHS, either way the Citizens of Maine will lose unless we act now!



The Department of Homeland Security has been threatening to punish us because of an executive order written into law by Gov. Baldacci in Apr
2004. Baldacci's law turned Maine into a sanctuary state for undocumented citizens (illegal aliens) by allowing them access to government services without having to provide proof of citizenship. DHS's other point of issue is Maine has never had a "proof of residency" law when applying for a driver's license.


Rather than repeal the executive
order and add legislation that would in effect require proof of citizenship and proof of residency in Maine, Baldacci has written Legislation that would override LD 1138 and circumvent the Secretary of
State to pursue implementing Real ID in Maine.

Real ID will not change Maine's
current status of being a sanctuary state.

Why Real ID is
not the solution DHS claims it to be?


Real ID will not stop illegal immigrants and/or terrorists from coming into the US or from driving because we are not protecting our borders and they will drive without a license.



Our private information, including social security number, etc will be accessible to any government employee in all 50 states in the U.S. and all countries we have a treaty with. In effect, Real ID will be an identity thief's dream.





Biometric identifier- This science is not absolute, it does make mistakes. Do you want to be accused and found guilty of a crime you did not commit because a machine says so? Real ID rules state they will need a biometrically capable photo of you to add to their databases.



RFID: A tiny radio microchip
that transmits all the information stored within the card via radio
signal. This is a tracking device that can be read without you knowing
you are being scanned by anybody, anywhere with a reader. All the
information on your card, including your picture, birth records and
SS# will be transmitted by this radio chip. Anybody can aquire a
reader.


The rules of the Real ID act
itself are undefined, leaving open the possibility and probability for
change of rules anytime by DHS. There will be no legislative over
site on what this card will contain for information or how our
personal information will be used, who it will be shared with or how
problems with it will be handled.

Other ways this card can be used
is to store our personal medical and financial information. It could be
turned into a form of money, like a debit card by attaching it to our bank
account or employer. All our purchases will be tracked. If DHS
decides to, they can flip a switch that will turn our card off so that we can't
travel, buy and sell, or be employed.



Real ID is being lobbied for by the corporations who stand to profit by it's implementaton. L1 Identity Solutions(one of these corps)has on its Board of Directors, individuals who used to sit in government offices when the Real ID Act was pushed through congess. One of these individuals is ex-CIA head, Tenet.

Real ID was suppose to be voluntary. Does this sound voluntary to you?

Real ID is a control mechanism for the people, being rammed down our throats by a big government that is operating outside the rule of law as written in our Constitution. We can not count on our Legislature to stop it unless we get as many people as possible to call and demand them to do so.

Evil prevails when good people choose to do nothing.

committee. This bill must not reach the floors of the Senate or House
without being amended.

How to talk to your legislators:





Calling individually: The person who answers the phone
is a secretary/receptionist/ switchboard person. If your rep is not
available, ask to speak with someone about Real ID. Be nice, this person
will deliver your message. You can also leave your name and contact
information and request a call back from your Rep. Please also send
a fax and/or email in addition to calling your Rep at the State House or at
their home.

You can also call the clerk and have the same message
delivered to the committee.


As soon as I have access to a written copy of this
bill, I will email it to you. In the meantime just tell them to repeal
the executive order of Apr 2004 and forget the SAVE Act, biometric software and anything else that Real ID calls for. Thank you. ~ Donna

Sound like they are agaisnt the Real ID. Which is pretty much in step with RP.

I will endorse anything to keep illegals out of my state and country!
I have nothing to hide, Big Brother doesn't scare me. We are open borders and take all our perks now. This NEEDS to stop...

I really do not see the Real ID as a sinister plot, but do you really trust the Government to administer this properly?

What I do think is it is the North American ID. Once in place in US, Canada, and Mexico people will be able to travel in NA freely. Work and get jobs legally, as of now, they cannot.


At this point I am neither for nor agaisnt the Real ID. I just do not trust the Government to properly handle it.

The Real Id is paving the way for the RDIF chip. Everntually the Real ID will have a tracking chip in it..if they don't do it the first time..it will eventually get there. A national ID card is not constitutional...it's like Germany or France in days gone by "PAPERS PLEASE...PAPERS". According to the Constitution, we should be able to travel freely.

Ron Paul doesn't agree with anything that goes against the Constitution, and neither, in my opinion, should anyone else. The RealID is just a way to control Americans, not the illegals, and it won't change a thing except put our privacy in jeopardy. If the government was serious about controlling the flow across our southern border, they would've done so by now. But they clearly have an agenda, and this is one government nobody should trust with their personal information.

The RealID will allow the feds and criminals the ability to know all of us much better!

If it keeps out illegals and stops them from getting jobs, I'm all for it.

When Bush is out of office and if we don't get an old fool like McCain, things HAVE to be better.

We have MUCH bigger problems. It's because of us being a Sanctuary State and nothing else.
