Proposed George W. Bush Sewage Plant makes ballot

SAN FRANCISCO - A measure seeking to commemorate President Bush's years in office by slapping his name on a San Francisco sewage plant has qualified for the November ballot.

The measure certified Thursday would rename the Oceanside Water Pollution Control Plant the George W. Bush Sewage Plant.

Supporters say the idea is to commemorate the mess they claim Bush has left behind by actions such as the war in Iraq.

Local Republicans say the plan stinks and they will oppose it.

San Francisco voters may give the president a parting shot in November by naming a sewage plant after him. A ballot measure renaming the plant qualified on Thursday with 7,168 signatures.

How ironic that San Franciscans consider this more important than doing something about the "sanctuary policy" that was directly responsible for the Bologna murders.

It's sad to see people who are so out of touch with reality that they would protect illegal aliens & convicted felons so these felons can commit more crimes with no worries.

Not quite, San Francisco is just Sodom, Gamorah can be found directly across the bay hiding behind the name Berkeley.

It casts more bad light on them than Bush. These crazed-out druggies and their wacked out ways. I personally think history will be much kinder to Bush than people think. Having a stable democracy in the Middle East as an ally is immeasurable against this battle. It really angers libs who were pulling for defeat and Reid even saying the "war is lost" to see things going so well. It just burns them up. They really wanted to see us lose this war, so much for any criticism they may have of Bush and Rove. I expect the Commies to protest.

I really don't understand why Rove is so hated. He's just a masterful politician no different than a bunch of others on the left. It really irritated them after the corrupt Alabama governer went down and accused Rove of polical motivations. Hey, if your're guilty what difference does it make?

THe firing of the 9 U.S. attorneys is a joke too. Clinton fired all 95 of them...nary a peep. They serve at the will of the President.
