I have to agree with the author. Political correctness has gotten out of hand.

My husband served in the Air Force in Vietnam, and said had he had to serve with anyone openly gay, he would not have wanted to be there around them, or having known this before he enlisted, would have even done that. He said to any man he served with, the idea was inconceivable.

Any former military personnel, I believe would tell anyone the same. Knowing this, what is any administration thinking, making this an ok thing to allow within our military?

    Polically Correct and Socially Stupid.

So not only do our soldiers have to watch out for the enemy they are sent to fight but the enemy within the unit that may attack them sexually. As an example: If a Gay Senior Officer has designs on any solider, they could make life hell, if the solider doesn't comply. This is a very bad idea.

Perhaps if units were all Gay, this might work. Sexual Attraction is the reason why Men and Women don't serve in the same Combat units, so it doesn't make sense to put people that are attracted to the same gender in the same unit as those that don't share that orientation.

I did 21.5 years in the Army all over the world... tight spaces, no privacy, open showers and open stalls in the rest room

There are gays in the military now... all you have to do is walk into the shower and see what I am talking about ..... no contact but arousel is easy to spot

there are no seperate showers and bath rooms for gays or straight men and women... one there is no money for it and two you are suppossed to be a team not divided

if you think there is money for it you better take a hard look at the Veterans Administration and the bad shape it is in ... even if there was extra money it should go to the VA and not segragated showers, dorms etc.

the whole issue is the gays want to advertise that they are gay and currently they cannot

I have to tell you it was bad enough with all of the deployments away from family

people shooting at you, trying to explode IED's under your vehicle.. throw in the gay issue and it's a time bomb.. there will be fights ... big time with all of the adreneline going on 24 hours a day

I want to know i can actually sleep without someone looking at me without the worry

if they would have made it Legal to actually serve openly in the Armed forces... not only would I have not done 21 years... I would forbide my children to do so

My son just got back from Iraq recently and my daughter is in the Air Force serving in Qatar

thats 3 people that would not have served in the armed forces

    Bye Bye America

Ditto from a retired Navy veteran.
