MONTREAL — The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has quietly approved a new genetically engineered corn with eight different insect- and weed-fighting traits, but farmer and environmental groups in Canada say the approval was rushed and environmental risks ignored.

Monsanto specializes in genetically engineering absolutely everything, like putting a terminator gene into crop seen sold to Africa, so the gathered seed does not sprout. But gotta look at the bottom line. They already have Round-Up ready soybeans and plenty of other genetically modified crops. No wonder that the major countries in the world do not accept our exports.
