Rachel Maddow – MSNBC’s Voice of Hysterical, White Liberalism
Posted in Politics & Government on September 22nd, 2008

Just about the time we thought we had witnessed the lowest end of America’s journalistic decay, they plunge over an unseen precipice into depths that we never imagined possible for what is certainly one of the crudest demonstrations amoral depravity in television broadcast news history.

It is as if the American news media’s solid six years of never ending negativity about everything and everyone associated with the Bush administration, seven years of negative and defeatist propaganda about the U.S. military, the war in Afghanistan and the war in Iraq, top secret documents and plans purposely leaked to the Islamic fundamentalist nut jobs and their methodical destruction of our nation’s image at home and abroad were not an entirely sufficient demonstration of their extreme maliciousness, they are now compelled to show the entire world that they can go even deeper, that they have not really even began to dive, and that the bottom, if there is such a thing in their mind, is not yet in sight.

MSNBC’s broadcast of an Air America segment showing Rachel Maddow, liberal talking head, and Jonathan Alter, senior editor for Newsweek magazine trying to play a watered down, liberal cracker’s version of the black race card against the McCain campaign is an obvious demonstration of desperation. The segment begins with Rachel Maddow saying she would like Alter’s opinion on her idea about a McCain television ad which she then describes in the following manner:

“This Raines ad, this Franklin Raines ad was put up today by the McCain campaign not because there is a worrying tie between Obama and Franklin Raines, the Fannie Mae executive, because there doesn’t seem to be a tie between them, but because Raines is black, and they were bending over to make a race tinged ad showing these two black men, looking very menacing and then showing a worried and distressed elderly white woman at the end of the ad.â€
